Pink Sorbet, Lemon and Chocolate.

Hello all...What fab weather...
We have been out enjoying the sun...laying on sunloungers drinking pimms and having BBQs. Our road is a private one so we have a communal garden area with a park right out the front of the house...so it's great as someone brings out their BBQ and we all gather with various plates of food and have a good neighbourhood gathering.
My card is for Colourcreate ...such great summer colours. I had this paper block which is from Making Memories that uses all the colours. Along with my Tilda and a large paperclip from Staples I made a bookmark that I thought could mark the page of a favourite recipe.
I can smell the food cooking and the chink of the Ice in my Pimms...so I am off.
Hope you are all doing the same in your sunny parts!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Afternoon to you.....We have beautiful sunshine again.
The doors and windows are open and the girls are outside playing with their friends.
So I am crafting on the kitchen table so I can see them in the park!
We treated the girls to lunch at Pizza Hut today as they have been very good during the few rainy days.
The Penny Black challenge this week is to include some 'Buttons'on your card. This is an easy one for me as I love using buttons. I have numerous compartment boxes with beads and buttons..... all colour separated, of course.
This is the last of my red gingham paper...which I love, so I must get some more..I think it goes well with the ladybirds.
It's going to be a very sad evening television viewing tonight as 'ER' finishes....I have watched it from the beginning and will be crying my eyes out watching all the flashbacks.
Good job I have 'Greys Anatomy' and a new series of the spin off 'Private Practice' to look forward to. Any other ER fans can come here for sympathy!

Dino-mite!

Morning to you all on this very rainy day. Pefect day for being inside crafting.
My eldest has been scrounging card from my stash this morning...making a front cover for her Independent project on 'The 70's'...How fab!!!
We found some great pictures of 70's T.V..Starsky and Hutch, Mork and Mindy...and the Fashions...bell Bottoms and platform Boots....Lava Lamps.
I was telling her about The Bay City Rollers..(I wore my tartan scarf and socks proudly). She already loves Donny Osmond(we have Joseph on video) and David Cassidy as I have the CD.
My card today is the reason I started on my quest for Dinosaurs. A card order for a boy who has been dinosaur mad for a few years now. So he gets all of the stamps from my set! It's a bit quiet on the comment front so I hope that you are all having a good time away from your desks.

Butterfly Cakes....

Morning all.....I'm having another fun filled day today. Cardmaking this morning while daughter No.1 is at a friends house. Picking her up later so will have tea and natter with my friend as I spend an hour trying to get the kids to say goodbye and come home.
My card today uses Tilda and Edwin and was inspired by a Dawny P card...(Hope you don't mind, Dawny)...I thought they went so well together and I just loved them running along chasing the butterflies... Thanks to ScrappyJacky who sent me the images!

My butterflies theme has carried on and I made some iced and butterfly cakes with my little one yesterday. We had a sugar overload with all those jelly tots and the bowl licking afterwards.

The cake stand was a Birthday pressie and is out on the side all the time as love it.
The same friend got me a set of cake tins with Fairy cakes on and tea towels last year. I am going to try making the icing roses with the edible glitter that were on 'Kirstys Homemade House' programme, for the school Summer Fair. I will post a photo! Bye for now...

Tilda with Violets...

Afternoon to you all...
As you can see I am back to my Tildas! I coloured a few in yesterday with my promarkers and made a couple of cards....
I got a great tip from a 'Craftbubble' post about some promarkers on Joanna Sheens site. She was doing free postage so I am looking forward to a few more colours coming my way soon. I ordered Magenta Pink, Burgundy, Cool Grey and Black.
Those of you who do the 'Penny Black Saturday Challenge' may also have seen that my name came up this week as the winner of this weeks prize...a cute bear stamp!
How exciting!!
What a beautiful day yesterday...we took the stabilisers off the little ones bike and she did really well riding on her own for the first time. Going to try for a few minutes everyday this week.
We have had a bit of rain this morning but now the sun is out so I'm going to clean the insides of my windows and make some fairy cakes with the girls this afternoon.......and do a little bit of crafting!!!!
Hope you are enjoying the Bank Holiday.

Raspberry Ribbons Sketch...

Happy Sunday to you all....and 'Happy 40th Birthday' to Caroline at Raspberry Ribbons. Hope you are having a great time today!!!
Pop along to the blog...check out the DT cards and join in with the Sketch challenge and watch out for Caroline..she has got some new ideas for the challenges in the future....
Here is my card...I love this lime green spot paper and thought it would make a good backdrop for the orange and yellow flowers. I got the sewing machine out and stitched the orange spot ribbon to the yellow one...so easy and it looks really good!
It's such a lovely day today so I'm not going to spend too long sat on the computer.
Having a spring clean in the kitchen and garden...enjoy the sun blog followers!

Patchwork pretty...

Hi all...hope you have had a good Saturday!
I have been doing a few jobs today...one of which was taking the fur trim off of a cream waterproof jacket and re-lining the hood. I have been looking at doing this for ages and kept trying to find the time.
My next job was doing another card with my patchwork pals kit...so say hello to this pretty little girl.
I did a bit of blog hopping and found a new blog offering candy...they also had a sketch and a little girl image to use as they are looking for a DT member.
Check out http://nutcrafters-nutshells.blogspot.com/
Off to do some tea now for the family....chat soon♥

Colourcreate Challenge-Sky blue, Tan and Ecru...

Afternoon Crafty folks...
Thank goodness I have come to the end of the week and now we are on half term!
Some serious slobbing and crafting will be going on for the next few days.
No NVQ observations because of the NCT tests...talking in code now!...but still a busy week. I am chair of the School fundraising committee so I am organising the Summer fair, Afternoon Tea for new parents/children and a Disco...all before end of term.
My cardmaking time is getting less and less! The Colourcreate Challenge worked out well this week as I have been using my new Patchwork Pals kit and the colours were just right. It's been nice to do some larger cards as well.
Hope you all have a great Friday night and chat to you all again tomorrow.

Good morning to one and all...
I want to 'Thank you' all for the lovely comments I have had recently...so lovely to come home and log on to find lots of peolpe are looking at my cards.
So, just about got time this Thursday morning to show you my card for the Penny Black Challenge which was a recipe...3 flowers, 2 papers, 1 charm/brad.
Well, I did't have many charms but I rooted around and found this little bee...funny that...and used him with this little hedgehog chappie with some more bees buzzin'.
Hope you all have a lovely day...I am in with the Juniors today...Times Tables test this morning!!! then Literacy...In the afternoon half go swimming and half have P.E so I will be marking the tests...I can just about remember my tables!

Patchwork Scamp!

Hello all...Hope you have had a 'Wonderful Wednesday'.
Sorry...you are going to get lots of school speak. It's been a beautiful warm sunny day here. I sat outside with a small group of little ones reading this morning, which was so lovely.
My card today is another of my Patchwork pals. Such a great card for a little scamp!
I haven't been able to do any crafting so far today, as I have been in school but once we are all in for the evening...I hope that I can do a few bits and bobs. I have a couple of new sketches to follow and a new stamp that is still looking at me!
Hope you are all busy making some lovely creations!

Patchwork Pals...

Hello all...
I was involved in the schools first day of the 'walking bus' this morning.
We had our picture taken by the local newspaper as we all came down the road heading into the school in our lovely yellow flouresant tabards! Your'e jealous now...I can tell! My eldest was slightly embarrassed by everyone looking at her! My little one on the other hand lapped it up waving at all her friends.
So, after all that excitement I am back home with another crafting day today! Hurray!
This is the Kit that I bought on QVC's Craft Day! It's called Patchwork Pals!
I don't normally buy die cuts kits but this was so gorgeous and good value for money!
I could see that I could get quite a lot of cards out of it by adding in some of my own stash! I made up the 6 pink and 6 blue square window cards that it had in it and now I have started using all the card and other bits and bobs to make some A5 cards.

So the main card today is using the boy and girl with a wall and gate and I have added the balloon and the bunting, the grass, the daisies and the butterflies. This is for my best friend, for her children to send to her mum. What do you think?
Enjoy your day and pop back soon..possibly more Patchwork pals on show....

Wedding butterflies...

Morning everyone...
It's a bright and breezy day here in Sussex and I am enjoying being at home today doing some card orders. I have just finished a Wedding commission, so this is the one I am showing you today. I was told the colour scheme which always helps..in this case Navy and Cream with a touch of Gold.

I used one of my Birthday dies...this beautiful butterfly. Slightly fiddly pushing out all the holes and swirls but I love the end result.
And now that I have finished this one I want to do one for stock.

After the family Roast yesterday I spent a few hours making up some cards from a kit that I bought on QVC's Craft Day. It feels a bit like cheating but I couldn't resist them and will show you the cards I made up tomorrow. See you then!

Tilda with Bee/Worthing Stamp Show

Hello all..Hope you all had a good day!
As you can see from the title of my post I ended up at The Worthing Stamp Show with my friend and our older girls.... but first, here is my Tilda and Bee card!
I used my Big Shot with my new circle dies..love them!

Here is a close up. You can see a bit of sparkle in the black ribbon and I used some glitter cardstock as well. I used my PVA glue over the top of the bee to give him some shine but I don't think you can see it in the photo.

So onto Worthing Show! Spent a few lovely hours walking around chatting and spending a few pennies. I bought some Basics.... A5 cream cardstock and double sided tape but also got some more yummy papers and a beautiful fairy princess stamp which I can't wait to use with some crystal 'Stickles'.
Just tidying up the bombsite that is the livingroom and then going to settle down and watch 'Eurovision'. Have watched it every year since I was a child. I don't like the UK song at all but it will be interesting to see if we get any votes just because it's written by 'Lord Webber!'. Bye for now!

Just Magnolia Challenge Sketch

Hello all...
I have finally got round to using my lovely red and white glossy spot card that I got from the Brighton Show and Tilda with Ladybird.
I missed out on the Magnolia Club Spring collection but Scrappyjacky took pity on me and sent me some to use. Thank you so much!!!
So it was a spot of luck that the Just Magnolia Challenge today was to follow a sketch! I stamped out some extra ladybirds and used pva glue over the top of them, and Tildas Boots, to add some shine!

Hope you can just about catch the shine on them. I love the effect and I'm going to do this technique again for the Tilda with bee tomorrow...see you then!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Good morning all... It's Thursday!!!
You should all know by now that I dread Thursdays. I leave home to go to school at 8.30am and then my little one has gymnastics at 3.30pm followed by swimming. So I get in very briefly with my eldest at 3.45, get changed and then it's back out to pick up from gym at 4.15 and then back home to get little one changed for swimming and off again until 6.30 when we all get home.
So I am posting my Penny Black card first thing...The challenge this week was a colour combination of BLACK, WHITE and a colour of your choice!
Not as easy as you would think. In the end I went back to my little 'Honey Bee' stamp and chose YELLOW to add to the mix.
The sentiment was also a Penny Black one and sort of gave me the idea for the bees giving their friend first dabs at the big yellow flower!
So hope you like it...please leave me a comment and have a good day y'all!

Just Magnolia Challenge-Stitching!

Afternoon all.
Popped in for a few minutes in between picking up duties to show you my card for the Just Magnolia Challenge. This week you had to do some 'Stitching' but it could be fake...so mine is. I have done a running stich and a zig zag around the edges. I will get round to doing some proper stitching soon, I hope.
As you can see I have carried the Blue and Green colour scheme through from yesterday. It was a colour scheme I didn't have a lot of and as I had all the paper out I made the two cards together. I added a die cut fence in with this one and some big flowers with buttons which I think work quite well.
Lots of paperwork to do tonight for my NVQ and I want to make a card with Ladybird Tilda...she is coloured in and waiting patiently!!!

Colourcreate Challenge-Blue and Green...

Well Hello ladies....
As the last Birthday guest left at 7pm last night I rolled myself into my craftroom and shut the door!! I have eaten myself silly. There were 4 of us yesterday being 'ladies that lunch' in Arundel. I have milked it for 4 days so I think I am done now. I am doing the walking bus route this afternoon so at least I will be able to walk some of it off.
So back to some crafting and the Colourcreate challenge of Blue and Green. Very calming and something to do with the garden I thought, so I used a new Tilda sent to me by Scrappyjacky...thank you.. and added some net and wire butterflies.
The lime spotty paper is doodlebug. More of Tilda tomorrow for the Just magnolia Challenge.

Washing Line thief....

Hello blog friends...
I have ended up having a day at home moving a chest of drawers from the hallway to the little ones bedroom. The lidded box that was in the space where the chest of drawers is now ,is in my workroom and the tall unit that was in my room is in the hall. Now I have piles of bits dotted all over the house that I have taken out of different places and can't find a home for.
The bedroom and my workroom look very tidy...the hall looks a tip!

Well, I have been using one of Dulcies Wild Rose Studio Cats recently and making a few cards. Here is the washing line thief!
The papers are doodlebug ones that I bought at 'The Glitter pot'. I love the one with little paw prints on and bought it especially for my cat stamps.

My pile of birthday cards is getting really tall and I can't wait to open them all tomorrow.

Colourcreate Challenge-Red,Cream and Chocolate

Well..Thank Crunchie it's Friday...back to some lovely cardmaking and my birthday weekend to look forward to!
There are lots of birthdays amongst us bloggers and Craftbubble cardmakers this week.
I have been very naughty today...spent a lovely long lunch in the pub with a friend and then spent the afternoon in school with my favourite 1/2 class colouring in their seaside books. I am out with more girlfriends tonight at the local Indian restaurant which is a stones throw away from my house...so a few beers are on the cards!
Here is my card for the Colourcreate Challenge which this week was Red, Cream and Chocolate..adding ribbon if you wished. A very yummy combination which was calling out for me to use Tilda and muffin...again. Sorry I just love this stamp!
The brown spot paper is from Clare Curds "The Big One" paper pack. I have used red ribbon in a cream button and added a Sizzlits die cut chocolate cupcake with a little handwriiten note inviting you to tea! Hope you like it!

Booked Bouncy Castle for School Summer Fair next month and been to see Headmistress about buying a new Summer House Pavillion for Summer events.

Bright and Breezy....

I managed to get the family out and about for some sea air and some shopping today! Caught the train to Portsmouth at 10am for a breezy walk through Gun Wharf Quays...Bought a box of card in the Papermill shop...lovely colours and looked for some clothes for my eldest daughter who has grown out of 10 dresses and all her shoes from last year.
Back home and we went to the May Fair by the Village Hall/Playing Field. Watched a dance display. Poor girls looked frozen.
Bought a couple of cakes while little one had a go on the Bouncy castle and had a go on the Brownies Tombola!
Then ended up in Sainsburys...which was virtually empty...to look at clothes for 11 year old! Funny in between age. Everything I picked up for her was met with a Grimace and everything she picked up ..I did the Grimace!
The card today..Summer sitting Tilda...The background was made from leftover bits from my Just Magnolia challenge..I like it when I can use up a few odd bits of card.
Hope you have all enjoyed your Bank Holiday!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

I'm quick off the mark with my Penny Black Challenge this week.
I took an order at my Crafty Chicks Sale for some Horse cards using this very lovely stamp. So I had all the Toppers made up and my job for yesterday was making up the cards. The challenge is to use 3 different shapes.

1.Image-Rectangle
2.Die Cut -Flower
3.Sentiment-Oval
I reckon the Circle Button could class as 4...but we have it covered anyway!
There are lots of stables/Farms and privately owned Horses around the village so these Horse cards are always popular.

QVC Craft Day today, so I have had the T.V on from 7am looking at some new K&Co kits.
Always good for inspiration so I think my crafting today will spill out onto the kitchen table so I can watch and craft at the same time.

Just Magnolia Challenge Sketch

Another lovely day today....I have spent part of the day catching up on some cardmaking....challenges and some orders and part of it outside watching the girls play with their friends in the park and chatting to my neighbours. Lots of people out and about today, gardening and playing games so lots of distraction.
Back to Tilda with muffin for the 'Just Magnolia' challenge which this week was a sketch. I used my lovely 'Glitter pot' flowers and some beads for the scrolls.
I really enjoyed doing this sketch and must use my beads more often.

Look what came in the post this morning!
I came runner up in some blog candy so all these lovely papers and glittery flowers came from Shirley at cottonberrycreations.blogspot.com.
I think they are DCW, which I love so look out for some cards with these!
Thank-you very much Shirley!

Colourcreate Challenge- Orange, Green and Brown

Hi all...
This morning I was selling cards at the local indoor market and this afternoon I am in school so this is a quick lunchtime post to show you my card for the colourcreate challenge. The colour combination was Orange, Green and Brown with the added extra of doing a male card.
I have just got this great Clear Magic set of Dinosaur stamps and this is the first time I've used him. I think it works well with the colours.
I'm actually building up my stock of male cards now. Hope you are all looking forward to the weekend...I know I need a rest!
