Wild Rose Christmas....
Good Morning all...
We are off to London in a few hours...so just enought time to show you why I am so excited about Christmas at the end of July.
Dulcie sent me these two cuties to have a play with and I have been like a mad woman for the last couple of days....so many ideas popping into my head that I couldn't work quick enough...
I got out my box of christmas ribbons and used those as a starting point for the colours. I have done some more traditional red and green as well but you wil have to wait until next week to see those...Do check out the rest of the range and look at some of the DT cards as there is a slide show running now. Must be off now to catch the train! Girls very excited as we are in the West End tonight to see Ray Quinn as Danny in Grease. Until next week....

Party Girl...
Hi guys...This post is a bit late in the day but at least I made it on here.
Girls are getting pyjamas on so I made a dash for the chair.
So on Day 7 of the Summer Holiday...I have started my Christmas cards! I was going to wait for a few more weeks but I couldn't resist my Wild Rose Studio stamps anymore, and I am seeing some lovely christmas cards while hopping around onto everyones blogs, so I am getting in the christmas mood. Depending on time...might be able to show you one of them tomorrow! Until then, here is party Tilda.
I think this could be used as a christmas card. I used lots of gold glitter for the little stars. Happy Christmas crafting to you all.

Grace's Birthday
Afternoon everyone...Day 6 of having the kids at home and we have been trying to get some clothes sorted out ready to pack up for a trip to Eurodisney!
We are off to London on Wednesday to see 'Grease' in the West End and then we go on the Eurostar on Thursdsay.
I had a card order to finish as well today and I have just loaded it into Craftbubble for Susie's Die Cut Dreams group challenge which was to make a 'Girly girl' card with pink and using charms, brads or jewels.
I had to use lilac and pink on this order but everything else is very girly and I used gems dotted on the crown and the dress and added a little butterfly by her name.
Hope you like it, Susie!....Come visit again soon.

Hoppy day....
Hi there bloggers...Summer Holiday day 5.
Not a bad weekend... I just love watching drunk people dance at weddings.
Lovely weather for it and it all went off very well. The lads waffled on about football too much,(they are all referees) but I did chat to one lady about scrapbooking, so I got some crafting in!
The cards on show today are more that I was commissioned to do for 'Beautiful cards'
magazine. They were for a section on Grandparents day.
I used some Penny Black Stickeroos...Pond life frogs.
I thought this row of little frogs was really cute!
I got a few nice craft parcels over the weekend...a bumper bag of goodies from Craftbubble for being a runner up in the Animal cardmaking competition and some new Animal Christmas stamps from Wild Rose Studios. They are so gorgeous. Do check them out and come back soon as I have done some stamping all ready for a colouring in session tonight.

The Happy Couple...
Good Morning to you and on day 4 of the Summer Holiday...the sun is shining!!!
Hubby and I are off to a wedding in about an hour so maybe the floaty dress will be ok. It has been very blustery here the last few days I was getting worried that I would be doing a 'Marilyn Monroe' the whole time.
We are staying in the Hotel for the night so my friend is coming to stay in our house with the girls.
So here is the wedding card I made for the happy couple and an extra silver and blue one for the stock basket. Just love this Forever Friends stamp and I enjoyed colouring in and blending the bears with my promarkers.
Actually used 5 colours on the bears..Ivory, Blush, Pastel Pink, Apricot and Cinnamon. Hope you all have a lovely weekend....Chat soon.

Pretty Princesses...
Good Afternoon to you all....
Well, Day 3 of the holidays and we have had lots of rain this morning, only just brightening up now. I got up today and began to make some cards with this gorgeous
Fairy Princess stamp from Stamposaurus. I had a few sheets of this pink and lilac paper left over from a Lakeland pack, that was just a perfect match.
This one is going to be used on Sunday when my little one goes to her friend Grace's swimming party.
These two will go into my basket as stock. We were going to a friends house this afternoon for cake and chat while the kids went on the trampoline ...but...the dreaded lurgy is still going round and the daughter of the house has been sent to bed. So the girls are on Wii music and I am on food and drink duty.
Have fun....hope the sun is out where you are.

Little fishes....
Hello folks...Day 2 of the Summer Holiday and an even bigger lie in for me this morning as I was very naughty and didn't go to bed until 1.30am as I was watching 'On thin Ice'. James Cracknell taking an ice bath is a beautiful sight!
So I thought I would show you another card that was featured in Beautiful Cards this month. You probably recognise the stamp set and paper from Clare Curds new signature range.
I thought that a gatefold card would be good so I could use more of the papers and the stamps. All coloured in with promarkers.
So today I have done a bit of stamping and going to do some colouring in this evening. Girls had friends over again today and now they are both in their bedrooms chillin'. Hope you are all well and please come visit my blog again tomorrow...

Summer cupcakes....
Hi and 'Happy Summer Holiday'
So Day One ...Got up at 9am....Bliss.
My friend and her two children came over for lunch...we chatted about the year 6 Disco that she had organised the night before and the little ones played outside while the older girls stayed in the bedroom. I started making some cupcake and ice cream cards as I had none left in my stock.
I am hosting a Candle party tonight at 7.30, so had a clear up and tidy away. I will get my cards out downstairs....maybe sell a few.
Got some strawberries and marshmallows for a chocolate fondue later.
Hope you are all managing to fit some crafting in while having the kids at home.
Chat to you all tomorrow. Bye...

Thank you Teacher....
Last day of school and I said Goodbye to my mentor teacher who is off to Dubai.
Very sad to see her go. I bought her some spotty stationery and put it in this red bag with schoolgirl Tilda on the front.
My eldest is a bit down as she is going to miss lots of Year 6 friends.
It's pouring with rain at the moment so it really doesn't feel like the Summer Holidays yet. I am hoping to do a few mega cardmaking days soon to fill my stock up of children and cake cards cards as I have used lots of these recently.
Come back soon for more cards and chat...bye for now.

Moon landing.....
Hi all...
My little one went to a party yesterday for the 6th birthday of a little boy in her class. The invitation had 'Star Wars' characters on so I guessed he might like a Space themed card, which ties in well with the 40th Anniversary of Neil Armstrongs moon walk.
So here is the space card I made for him. I tend to make them quite simple affairs for the little ones.
I have been watching all the programmes celebrating the moon landing and find it just so amazing. I was also very pleased to see on the lunchtime news, Neil Armstrong, making a rare speech about it.
I have just made the last sweetie box and teacher card..last day tomorrow and then it's time for some summer fun....

Magnolia and Raspberry Ribbons...
Hello all..
I just couldn't resist using Ladybird Tilda and this gorgeous red and white spot satin ribbon in my card.
This will now be my DT card for Raspberry Ribbons and my challenge card for the Magnolia Blog where you had to use 'Buttons'.
I ordered these flowers from 'The Glitter Pot'as I had run out and they arrived just in time to add the finishing touches.
I had a lovely evening yesterday at my sister's where she had organised a pamper party with two beauty therapists and lots of goodies to eat and drink...cocktails, salads, profiteroles. I had a very relaxing peppermint foot and leg massage. 12 ladies in all and we had goodie bags as we left with chocolates, candles and beauty products in! Heaven!

Tilda and Tingla in' Beautiful Cards'
Hi everyone....
As you may know I get commissioned to make cards for 'Beautiful Cards' magazine. As I am in this months magazine, I can begin to show you some of the cards. I hope that some of you have looked at a copy of this mag as it is the best cardmaking mag out there at the moment...in my opinion.
If you have never seen it ...go check it out and tell me what you think.
'Beautiful Cards' is all about fresh and modern cards using up to date trends and ideas and bright colours so I thought that this Lime and Blue would be perfect for a Summer Boy card using the very popular Tilda stamps. The buttons were my starting point and cost 80p from Early learning....what a great buy.
So more tomorrow...have a great day!

Blue Flower garden...
Morning ladies...
Another card order to show you today. This is for my ex-neighbour for her mum.
We still see each other at school. The only requirement was pale blue and flowers.
I haven't managed to do any blog challenges this week, which is a shame.
I have some cards in the current edition of 'Beautiful Cards'...these were done a few months ago so I think it is OK to show them to you. Pop back tomorrow for some pictures and gossip about them.
Also check out 'Wild Rose Studio' blog as Dulcie has done a great job featuring my Louis in the rain card.
The photography is just beautifully pin sharp. Thanks, Dulcie.
I also came runner up in a Craftbubble Animal Card Competition this month, so expecting some goodies soon. Have a great day today. I am in school taking down all the displays. Bye for now...

Cool cats...
Hello all....
I have spent the day doing some card orders and putting the sweets in my boxes for the teachers. Not long to go now before we break up for the summer and I can't wait! This week is going to be busy finishing off things before the six weeks off and I see my assessor and get my file back.
This card is for one of the mums at school whose parents live in Cyprus and are involved in the Cats protection league.
I got this frame die when I got my bigshot for my birthday and this is the first time I have used it! I think it will be lovely with a little Tilda inside.
The storm is gathering again...torrential rain this morning and I think we are going to end the day the same way....Stay inside and craft, I say!

Hedgie flower bag...
Good evening everyone...
I was determined to make a card today and I can tell you it has taken all day.
Side-tracked so many times by T.V, Food, Girls going in and out, Craftbubble etc.
Well here it is...finally. My favourite Penny Black hedgehogs. Background paper is by Doodlebug and lots of lovely prima flowers, all from Glitter Pot.
I was out all day yesterday visiting my old place of work. My mug was still on the shelf in the kitchen. Ahh...only one member of staff the same but everything else was pretty much as it was when I worked there in the nineties.
I had fun serving some customers and looking at the ribbons and beads but it was raining all day so I was pleased to come home and slob today.
Hope you have had a great weekend...

An Apple for the Teacher.
Afternoon friends....
Just home from the last committee meeting at school and we had a lovely cream tea spread layed on for us by the headteacher. So yummy!
So back to work on making some teacher cards and boxes. This apple card idea I have seen in various forms...I have an apple notepad and I have seen cards and door hangers so this is my version that I will get my daughter to write the teachers name on under the glitter Thank you. I think they are so cute with the ladybug on and I like the idea of having the ribbon on so they can hang it up rather than a normal folded card.
Also think it looks more than just a card so no envelope required.
I'm off to Crawley tomorrow to visit my old work and buy some craft things no doubt.
Have a nice Friday evening and don't forget to leave me a comment! Till tomorrow....

Sweet Boxes...
Afternoon blog friends...
So pleased to be able to have something finished to show you. I have been working like a mad woman everyday after school trying to finish off various projects!
I saw the tutorial for these little triangle sweet boxes in a link off 'Cupboard under the stairs'. So Thanks Jane! I have been making a few of these for the Teachers and T.A's who have been helping me with my NVQ.
My assessor has taken my file today to get my first 3 units signed off!
Just love the red cherries! I am going to try and match the sweets up. I have one teacher who loves mints so she will get a green one.
I will show you some more teacher things tomorrow! Have fun!

Sunflower Wedding
Good Morning...
I had a lovely day yesterday catching up with an old friend who I haven't managed to see for a year. But you know how it is..you just pick up where you left off and the hours flew by chatting about the kids and other people we have seen and what everyone is up to!
After she had gone I got on with doing this card for a regular customer. A Wedding card where the theme was 'Sunflowers'. I have had these paper sunflowers for a few years now...I think they are from the Mulberry Bush.
This is being delivered this morning and then I am off to buy some Ivory sandals to go with my dress for the wedding at the end of the month.
I am doing the walking Bus this morning and it has just poured down...Nice!

Raspberry Ribbons DT Challenge
Another lovely day today, ladies...I have just managed to watch some of the Ladies Singles Final at Wimbledon...Shame that we won't be watching a Brit in the men's final tomorrow but hey ..Thank goodness we have someone now in the top 5 in the world!
So my card today is my DT for Raspberry Ribbons and the challenge set this week is to make a card with circles as your inspiration and to include ribbon of course.
So hope you like my colourful Caterpillar. The circles were made using a sizzix die and I used 3mm ribbon for the legs and antenna on his head. Lots of kiddies parties coming up so I will make some more of these I expect!
We are taking the kids to the cinema later to watch 'Ice Age 3'....looking forward to the popcorn!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge...
Hello lovely ladies!
Hope you are all enjoying the tennis and the weather! It's a lot cooler this morning with a light breeze blowing but still nice and sunny!
I am just off to the indoor market but before I go just got enough time to show you my card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge, which is a sketch this week.
Just love these little hedgies! This is the last of my yellow flowers from my Glitter Pot Bag... good excuse to purchase some more!
It's transfer day at school which is when the children all go to their new teachers and classrooms for the day in preparation for September! How exciting.
Thank Crunchie it's Friday and have a good one!

Just Magnolia Sketch
The 'Just Magnolia' Challenge this week was to follow a sketch.
I just had to use this pretty Summer Tilda with these lovely Vintage Ocre and Peach tones..
Not my usual choice of colours but I always like the look of them when I see other people use them. I really like this sketch..not too many elements but just enough to keep your eye interested.
In school today...we are all going to be taking it easy, I hope.
My mentor teacher has just announced she is leaving to go to teach at a school in Dubai...so I am pleased for her but sad for me. She is so lovely and I will miss her loads. Keep cool everyone!!!
