My little Pony...

Hello to you...
Hope you had a good weekend. We managed two visits on Sunday...one to my Dad and step-mum and then on to my oldest girlfriend and her hubby. We have known each other since we were 17, so great to catch up with her. Her eldest daughter is 17 now and was a four year old bridesmaid at my wedding! I feel old!
Back to the working week and I have an inset day so have done a bit of card-making and then took Hubby to breakfast.
I made this card with a few challenges in mind....
Colourcreate wanted to see 'Lemon, Green and White'. A lovely combo!

Simon says stamp have a theme of 'Animal Antics' and Cupcake Craft theme is 'Old McDonald had a farm' so my little PB Pony stamp is just right. Coloured with my Promarkers...

Finishing touch, some green organza ribbon and a large flower sticker from a Making Memories pack.
Just chillin' now and doing a few house-keeping things and hopefully some more crafty bits.
Thanks for popping in to see my card today. See you soon....xxxxx

Can I have a 'P' please ,Bob?

Good Evening...
Do you all remember 'Blockbusters'? It came to mind when I saw the Belli Challenge theme this week. The letter 'P'. So my card today features Pink and Purple Princesses with a Poodle and some Pearls.

Coloured in with Promarkers (another 'P')
Passion 4 promarkers Challenge this week is 'Let it shine' and Kaboodle Doodles challenge want us to 'Bling it up' so I used some stickles to make the wings and tiaras sparkle.

My fabric flowers were layered up with a flower brad in the centre and I tied some gingham ribbon around.

I am looking forward to a long weekend as my school has an inset day on Monday!
Have a great weekend whatever you are planning to do...
See you back here soon.

Lovely Ladies digi stamp...

Good Evening...
I'm doing well on the crafting side at the moment! I think I might need some new promarkers as I am colouring in lots of images in the evenings.
These lovely ladies were made using Poppy with handbag from the Digistamp Boutique, run by my namesake Sally-ann.

I'm entering the following challenges...
1. The Crafty Pad...'Something girly'
2. Do it with Digi's...'Pink and girly'
3. Alphabet challenge...'L is for ladies'
I have quite a few finished cards on my table but the natural light at 2pm, when I get home from work, is so bad that I haven't photographed them yet...Time to make a light box, me thinks!
I'm still busy crafting/doing displays at work...I'm now putting together a catalogue/scrapbook of the displays that go up. So I will be photographing them and writing a bit about each one. We are really working on our 'Creative Curriculum' so recording our dressing up days etc...
I do enjoy my job!
Thanks for dropping in...TTFN...xxx

Love Birds...

Hi there....
I have been trying to tidy up my craft room/dining room today but I sort of got side tracked...I'm sure you all know what I mean!
I emptied an old paper carrier bag, that was quite a few years old and was very tatty and torn and I was going to throw it away when I wondered whether I could use some of it to make a card or two....

The natural paper was a great rustic background and the lovely blue base was the perfect colour for two doves, so I thought of a valentine/love card.

I added Brown beads for the eyes....and a red punched heart.

I unravelled the twisted paper handles and ripped it in half, then wrapped and tied in a knot and added a flower.

K&C0 alphabet tiles used to spell out...'Love birds'. Sort of folk art feel!
Challenges are....
1. Alys Sunday Challenge...'Things with wings'.
2. lexis creations...'Say it with Love'.
3. Bunny Zoes...'Love is in the Air'.
4. The Secret Crafter...'It's a couple thing'.
5. Craft your days away...'Love'
6. Pile it on...'Anything goes'

Thank you if you have recently become a follower..I am in triple figures now...
100 lovely people!
Hope you leave me a comment and pop back soon..

I love Promarkers challenge..KISS!

Good Evening all...
I didn't officially make any New Years Resolutions this year but when I saw the
I love Promarkers Challenge this week I thought...Yes! That's what I need to do more of with my cards and craft projects...KISS...Keep It Sweet and Simple!
I wanted to use my new, very cute, Bee stamp set from Sizzix so I decided to start off simply making some laminated bookmarks....

Stamped onto white card, Coloured in with Promarkers then I added white gel pen highlights...layered onto green card and laminated.

I haven't decided whether to add ribbon on them yet so I'm going to make up a few more and then decide...
I'm really pleased with the stamps...they are lovely to colour in!
The photos are not great though...I took them as soon as I got in at 3pm but the fading daylight has given them a blue tinge!
Thanks for coming to check in on me..

Penny Black Card Buffet....

Good morning all...
I can't believe that we are 2 weeks into January already...my crafting hasn't really kicked in yet and my card today is only the second one this year...
The Penny Black Saturday Challenge Blog have a great idea this week...A card Buffet!
Choose 4 things from this tray plus your PB image for your card....

I have used a PB Frog Stickeroo which had already been mounted in a die cut circle and scallop and was just waiting to be used...

I chose...3 Gems(flat back pink pearls, top right),Ribbon (which are the pink flowers along the bottom...It was bought by the metre on a roll),Patterned paper...New Spring collection pad sent as a Christmas freebie from Crafty Inspirations, and 3 Flowers(two on the side and the one the frog is holding up)

I really love the way this card has a lovely soft floaty feel to it. The paper has a watercolour style and blends really well with the colouring on the Frog. I think the light must have been quite hazy that day too with lots of clouds in the sky....

Flowers and frog have all been glittered with stickles!
So some challenges....
1. Penny Black...'Card Buffet'
2. Stampin B's...'Use a die Cut' (scallop circle)
3. Oldie but a goodie challenge...'Bright and Cheerful'
4. Stampavie...'Glitter/Sparkling'
5. Stampin Vacation...'Animals with eyebrows'
6. Paperplay...'Cutie patootie'

I must get up now, as I'm in bed with a cuppa and yesterdays paper.
I have been downstairs and put a dark wash on (school unifom, work trs etc)and cleaned the kitchen surfaces so it's not all laziness around here.
Have a great weekend...and see ya back here soon..

I'm going Dotty....

Yay...I made a card!
Hi all. I finally sat down for a couple of hours on my messy craft table and had a look around for some inspiration...and I found Fergus the Dragon from WRS!
He had already been coloured in and mounted in a scallop circle so was all ready to Go Go on a card!

Matched him up with some co-ordinating spotty paper from WRS.

I glittered up the flowers and gave Fergus a googley eye!

Added some heart ribbon and a gingham flower with a WRS spotty brad!
Just a gentle start to cardmaking 2011!
Winter Wonderland have a 'Lets go Dotty' challenge this week and you don't have to make a Christmas card unless you want to, of course.
Fab'n'Funky Challenge is 'Anything Goes'
Thanks for stopping by...Happy Crafting!

Re-cycled xmas card boxes...

Hello there...
First week back to work over...Today I really want to do some cardmaking as I have nothing new to show you...But I have made some little boxes from my christmas card stash.

Really simple to make...just cut along the fold of your card so you have the top and bottom pieces.
Trim a little of each side of the back piece which will become the bottom section of the box...then fold in the sides to your chosen depth...make four cuts in the corners and fold in.
I added some ribbon around one of them...
There are quite a few ideas on the web for re-cycling your cards.
I saw a really lovely star and a wreath which I would like to try.
Have a good weekend!
I'm off to start some new projects...TTFN xxx

Thank you cards...

Good Afternoon bloggers...
My last day at home crafting, dossing..er blogging!
I have cut the backs off the littlest christmas cards that we received this year and used my scalloped edged scissors on them. Just need to add ribbon and they are ready to be made into gift tags for next christmas. Next job was to think about some Thank you cards and I saw this flowerpot idea on the Sizzix website.

The flowerpot is recycled from a christmas card and the flowers were a real bargain at a craft fair...a huge bag being sold off for 50p by a crafter having a clearout. My usual buttons in the centres. The finishing touch was a gingham ribbon bow tied around the pot.

and for some challenges..
1. Allsorts..Thank you
2. Papertake Weekly...Thank you
3. One Stitch at a time...Anything goes
4. Creative Craft...Anything goes
I have been watching the whole series of 'Downton Abbey' again this week...
Just love it!
It's getting dark now so I'm off to put some side lamps on. I have to dress like a Pirate tomorrow for school so must get a few bits together for that as well.
Thanks for coming to look at my blog...I'm nearly at 100 followers please help me along!

Happy New Year...

Happy New Year!!!
We had a quiet night in this year celebrating with some chinese food and a bottle of Bucks Fizz! This time last year we were in New York in Times Square!
So onto the first post of 2011...and some 'NEW BEGINNINGS' challenges. What could be better than a card with a baby theme and this one uses lots of cute Sizzix dies.

I used lots of baby pastel colours, lemon, lilc and mint mostly. The backing squares are Wild Rose Studio and printed off of the Spring CD...I always print off the index page and cut out all the squares. There are lovely delicate pastel spots and floral prints.

New beginnings challenges....
One Stop Craft,
My time to craft and Ellephantastic.
Hope you enjoy the last few days off...back to work and school for most next week!
Thanks for popping in...TTFN X
