Calorie free cupcakes...

Hi there...
I have been playing with my Sizzix dies today and using up some leftover patterned scraps to make some clean and simple modern cards.
This little cupcake die is one of my favourites and is used a lot!
I added some glitter to look like some frosty icing on the top and then some beads in lots of different colours for the sprinkles.
I love the look of them against the white card.
I'm entering the following challenges...
1. Paper crafting journey...Anything Goes
2. Craft Us Crazy...Anything Goes
3. Charisma Cardz...Glitter It (my second entry)
4. Simply Less is more...I'm not sure why I have never entered this challenge before but I thought my cards would fit in this week...
Now you had to pick 3 of the previous challenges and I was not sure if they would agree (fingers crossed) but I think my card would fit into the following categories...
Pastel Colours...A touch of Red...Fruity/ Fruity colours.

Hope you have had a good Bank Holiday Monday...very over cast here so we've all been taking it easy inside...

Thanks for coming to visit...drop by anytime!

Put on your party pants...

Good Afternoon all...
I just wanted to post up a quick card that I made this morning...I'm still trying to think up cards that I can make using up some scraps...
I simply cut out some shorts and knicker shapes from different scraps of patterned paper...made sure one was from glitter card with some stars on, these are the 'Party pants'...
Arranged them in a square...simple mounting!
How about this little gem of a find..The Works 99p...A stapler and coloured staples. I just love it!
I printed off the sentiment to finish it off...

Just a little note about the film last night...'One Day'
Take the tissues with you!
Thanks for dropping by!

Butterfly Shabby chic...

Well Hello there...
I was supposed to be out in Horsham for lunch today but my friend phoned in sick so we had to cancel...what to do then?...
Well, unexpected crafting session and even though I had nothing planned I decided to rummage through my scraps and set myself a challenge to use up some old bits and bobs and see if I could rattle off some pretty cards!
I had some of these Penny Black butterflies stamped out so I looked up a few challenges...I glittered them and added gems. Found some handmade paper and distressed and roughed up the edges.
Pretty patterned Ribbon to match...tied in a bow.
I managed to find some things to make 2 cards...the little chipboard frames were from a very old QVC scrapbooking box kit. A bit of a different style for me that I really need to get to grips with but I am getting into this shabby chic/distressed/vintage look.
On my last shopping trip I bought these East of India paperchains..so adorable..I love the cut out hearts and scallop edges.

So the challenges I followed...

Penny Black Saturday Challenge...Shabby Chic.
Oldie but Goodie...Lots of Sparkle
The pretty little Ribbon Shop...use pretty ribbon
Charisma Cardz...Glitter it
Sentimental Sundays...use a Birthday sentiment
Flutterby Wednesday...Open theme BUT mustuse a Butterfly, Angel or Fairy.

I'm always a bit worried about Shabby Chic...can be very subjective.
I hope you think these cards are getting there! I was really happy with the end result and I made another card..so 3 in an hour!
Photos also loaded up very quickly and laptop not playing up...Happy days!

(If the Purple Princess is reading this...I could not get up the comment box on your blog yesterday...then couldn't type on Craftbubble and now I can't find your e-mail...can you e-mail me with it please).

I'm out at 5 o'clock with my two best mates and our thitreen year old daughters to have some food and then cinema to watch the new romance film with Anne Hathaway...looking forward to that!
Thanks for dropping by...TTFN...xxx

Home Sweet Home...

Hello again....
What a very grey and gloomy day! Oh well...crafting it is then!
I had to make a New Home card to send to a regular buyer of my cards so I made a spare for my basket as well.
No stamped images this time...back to the Sizzix dies for this cute house and tree, Home Sweet Home set.
I used up lots of scraps for the house and tree and then mounted them onto some Tags. Added some mini jewells...supposed to look like an apple tree!
Layered up before mounting onto a white card blank. I used K&Co Alphabet tiles for the message...
Just finished off with some ribbon. I enjoyed mixing up all the different patterned papers...really must do this more often.
The challenges I'm entering are Papertake Weekly...use die-cuts and
Crafts 4 Eternity...Flags, Tickets or Tags.
Starting to get the school things together now...trips to WHSmith yesterday for felt tips and writing pens...school skirts tomorrow!
Shoes will be next week!
Thanks for taking the time to visit me!

My birthday girl...

Helllooo...
Busy weekend for our household as youngest daughter was 8 yesterday!
We spent the morning at an indoor play area with friends...the kind with climbing ropes, slides, ball pools, trampolines etc and then we popped into friends for a little catch up and some hot dogs on the BBQ.
We then spent the afternoon making cakes for her Bowling/McDonalds party today...Smartie cakes.
Finally got to open the big pressies when daddy got home at 7 o'clock!

Once it's all over later I will come back and show some Wild Rose Studio DT cards...or you can pop over the the Wild Rose Studio blog where Dulcie has done a post!

Little Geisha girl...

Hello...
I'm feeling a bit numb around the mouth today as I have been to the Dentist.
One filling and a mended chip to a front tooth (It was a cola cube that did it)...had a bit of a sand and polish...£90.
but it's worth it!
So last week I was coloring in some new Wild Rose Studio stamps and so here is one of the finished cards...I'm really loving making easel cards at the moment..they look a bit special!
This is beautiful stamp is Mia dressed as a little oriental Geisha Girl. She is coloured with Promarkers and I did a bit of chalking around the edges just to give it a bit of an aged look.
I added lots of glitter to her parasol!
My very cheap Florida silk blooms were added with some gem centres and leaves. If you didn't see my purchases from our recent holiday...these were from one stem that were 99c and I have got a bag full of them!
Yellow Ribbon tied at the side was also a bargain...50c for a 10 yard roll!!
Finishing touches some shiny pink irredescant butterflies with more mini gems on the wings. The little oriental symbols...health and happiness and the 'Wishing you' are included in the stamp set which is an added 'Brucey bonus' I think!
and for some challenges...
Papertake Weekly...Bingo lines...I went diagonally..Blooms, Ribbon and Gems
I love promarkers...An Easel Card
My time to craft...G is for...Geisha Girl
Just getting that tingly cold feeling now so the injections are waring off...
Hope you like my card! Check back soon for new Fergus the Dragon and Baking Millie cards. Thanks for your comments...I love getting them!

Mia is cute and girly...

Hello there...
It is sunny today...yey!
A nice summery card is called for and so here is the very cute Mia with her huge pressie.
Not sure what's going on with my images...when I want them to roate they vanish and then ones that are landscape suddenly rotate themselves...
Anyway coloured with Promarkers and I love this blue and lemon colour scheme.
I used Wild Rose Studio papers as well and Martha Stewart doily edge punch for a frilly lacy look.
Final touches...a nice large daisy and yellow button centre...

Only a couple of challenges..
The Crafty pad..cute and girly
Whoopsi daisy...Anything goes

So hope you are enjoying the sun today...more cards soon.
Thanks for any comments you care to leave..

Arty Grafitti...

Morning Guys...
Just a little quickie...
I was just doing a spot of hopping around a few blogs...looking for some challenges/inspiration when I saw some great wall art that Scrappyjacky photographed by the seaside in Kent...
Her blog link is on my side bar...

It reminded me of my trip to Brussels.
I remembered I had photographed a great bit of wall art that was down a small alley...

Isn't it good? Much nicer than just silly tags that deface everything...
Hope you like it..

I should be back with some more cards later....
See you then.xxxx

Spots and ginghams...always a winning combo!

My sister flew to Florida yesterday but she usually checks my blog...so have a great one!
Still taking all my photos landscape, which looks a bit weird...no tall cards in the making until I can work out why I can't rotate???

A couple of 'Anything goes'...

Hi all...
Just a couple of quick makes to show you today...punched squares with daisies and butterflies.
I've made a few of these before in brighter colours and they were very popular at my monthly market so I used up some blue and green scraps and made a few more. Quick and easy and suitable to send as 'Just a note' kinda cards.
The Papertake Weekly Challenge this week is 'Anything goes'.
So while I am on...I have a techi query for you!
I have just recently discovered that any portrait photos I take on my camera that I then download and rotate, so that they appear the right way up on my blog, suddenly vanish from the file as soon as I click on the rotate arrow.
Gone, never to be found...WHY!?
Does anyone know how I can stop this from happening?
Please drop me a comment...
We are all out tomorrow in Crawley at Three Bridges F.C to watch a Charity match...The Only way is Essex's Mark Wright and James Argent and their team with other celebs?
Don't tell...but Hubby is the Referree...OUCH...
thanks for dropping by...xxx
