A Honey Bee Bonanza...

Hi there all...
What a lovely day! I have been quite busy doing a few things. First I was outside in the garden staining a replaced fence panel Sage Green, then I came in to make a card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme this week is to use a Penny Black stamp as a background.
Well I already had some images of the hedgie in a bag stamp ready, as it's the same as yesterday and I had a few of my favourite Honey Bees on hand as well...so I just needed to stamp the background paper with some more bees.
Coloured in with Promarkers
The sentiment is from a See D's set called 'Bee my friend' and I can't believe that this is it's first inking!
It was so nice and sunny that I photographed the finished card in the garden...I did hope a real bee might pop down so I could get it in the picture but they had all buzzed off...

Hubby mowed the lawn and then we all sat down and had a great Sunday Roast.
Just need to relax now and find something good to read or watch a bit of TV...with some chocolate.
A perfect Sunday! Hope yours has been just a nice!
Thanks for coming to see my cards.

Baby Shower and Bees...

Hello there....
I'm back at last to share a card. The last week of school was so hectic. Not only did we have to move classrooms but the evenings we taken up with our staff do and my finishing off presents and cards.
I have enjoyed the first day of the summer holiday relaxing in the garden, swinging on a hammock reading my kindle. I have lots to catch up with but it was so nice and sunny that I couldn't stay inside. Tomorrow I must get on with sorting out the house and making some cards...
Here is the last one I made for another Teaching assistant who has gone on maternity leave...
I used my cute little bee stamp and a few garden stamps and mixed and matched with some Sizzix bitty body clothes die cuts.

It has taken me a while to post this...internet explorer and laptop very slow at the moment...
Hope to be posting up a few more cards very soon and sharing some summer holiday outings.
Thanks for visiting....xxx

My Honey bee stamp....

Hi there...
So the Penny Black Saturday Challenge team want to know, if you could take one of your Penny Black stamps with you to a desert island, which one would you take?
My little 'Honey Bee' is one of the first stamps I ever bought and still one I love to use again and again....

I stamp out whole sheets at a time and colour them in so they are ready to add on top of a flower on my summer cards.
My time to craft challenge this week is 'Here comes Summer' so my little bees hovering are perfect for this.

The little fabric flowers were the ones I bought on a bunch for 99c in Florida. I pulled them all off and now have a whole bag of them. A pink jewel in the centre just finishes them off...

Hope you are having a great weekend enjoying the sunshine and the tennis!
Thanks for stopping by my blog...xxxx

Headteachers Tea party...

Hi all....
Every Friday at two o'clock, Star of the week pupils from each class are invited to a tea party with the headmaster where they have squash and cake and biscuits and get a certificate celebrating their success.
So here is the display board I created all ready for their photos...

Obviously based on The Mad Hatters Tea Party from Alice in Wonderland...I had lots of fun choosing bright colours. I was inspired by the Party Rings Biscuits packaging.

I've spent today reading in the garden and watching Wimbledon.
I will do some cardmaking later hopefully...
see ya soon..xxx
