A naming day card...

Hello all...
Hope everyone is well...the first month of the year went by in a flash...
Where did it go?
I have a special order to show you and the first time I have made a naming day card!

Quite CAS!
I used some die cuts from a Patchwork pals kit, the fence and the kitten and bird
and a fabric bunting strip that I bought in Florida..for 59c...OMG, how cheap is that?
Just added a few mini punched daisies.

As her name was Poppy, I was asked to put a Poppy flower somewhere on it.
I used a heart punch and layered before adding the black beads.

I added a couple of little bees that were made using a stamp.
The font I've used is Kristen...I love this for childrens things!

So I think this is kinda cute!

Haven't had time to trawl through the challenges...
Please leave me a comment if you pass this way!

Oh Baby!

Happy Saturday everyone!
Not much blogging this week as I have been too busy working and crafting! I had a couple of orders which needed to be done and will show you those later...

I haven't used a sweet Tilda image for a while and I was short on some baby cards...

Coloured with Promarkers...

The button background paper was part of a sewing freebie from SJ at Little musings and the pink gingham is Wild Rose Studio from the Spring CD.

Martha Stewart Doily lace edge punch...and some embossed 'It's a girl' ribbon.
Finished off with some flowers and jewel centres... and a run on sentiment.

Some challenges...

Our Creative Corner...Baby shower inspiration picture
I used the baby theme, the pink and ivory flowers and the crystals as my inspiration.

Papertake weekly...Buttons, Bows, Bling and Blooms.
Button paper, Bow in babies hair, Bling...jewels and Blooms...all sorted!

I love Promarkers...Anything Goes.

I'll be back later...off to watch The Iron lady at 5 o'clock, which looks so good.
Will tell you all about it!

Wooden hearts...

Hi all...
Just while I am looking up some card challenges, here is a wooden heart that I made for a work friends new grand daughter.

Quite simply a wooden heart painted with cream paint and then I used glitter glues to do the writing.
As her name was Poppy it only seemed right to make one of Emma Lockley of Sew Sweet.... felt flowers into a poppy by sewing on black beads.
Finished with red gingham ribbon and some twine.
Back soon with her naming day card...

Laptop Virus...

Hello all and Happy New Year...
Hope you all had a lovely time with family and friends ..didn't it go fast?
My laptop has been away for the New Year as I managed to open up something about the Greek Gods  for school and got a virus with it!
All my files are on DVD so they have to be loaded back on.

I've noticed lots of bloggers showing some of their favourite cards...and hopefully I can show some of mine next time....
