How does your garden grow?

Hi there...
Hope everyone is well.
I've been a bit slow with the cardmaking this week...just a few christmas ones made today and I don't know where I eeked them from as my brain is on shut down and the inspiration is not free flowing at the moment!

So I changed tack and went Autumnal.
I found this tree image already stamped and in a bag with the brown spot off cut, the brown flowers and the butterfly. I must have been doing a whole set and this was the last leftover I didn't use.
I must remember to bag things up like that in future.

The butterfly stamp is Penny Black and I love stamping this onto offcuts of pattern paper and then cutting out and layering...

I'm entering this card into the Allsorts Challenge this week which is
'How does your garden grow'

So I'm off to watch 'Downton' and to keep thinking of some Christmas designs...

Thanks for popping by!

Annabelle and Antoine in the snow...

Hello there!
Did anyone see where Summer went cos one day it was here and the next day Winter was upon us!
Well I guess I shall have to accept the inevitable and start some
'You know what' cards...

So...showing you one of my first DT cards using the christmas range of stamps and papers from
This is Annabelle and her little brother Antoine making a snowman.

Coloured with Promarkers and with lots of added glitter and pearls.

I used light Blue Organza ribbon and some sparkly white tinsel trim.
Four different papers were used for the squares in the background layer.
Then I created a snowy forest scene in the foreground with Sizzix christmas trees.
Finishing touch...White snowflake brads with pearl centres.

Some challenges this week...

I love Promarkers...Anything goes
Papertake Weekly...Make it Sparkle
Creative Card Crew...Christmas

I guess that most of us have started the Christmas makes now.
I have been working on some cards for me to send too. These tend to be a little bit simpler and use things that can be added production line style.
Hope you come back to visit me soon so I can share those with you!

The last days of a Wild Rose summer...

Hello!
Well...one week back to work and my poor feet are objecting to wearing shoes.
I put long trousers on for the first time in ages today!
It felt very wrong.

At least I have a few more summery cards to show you...

I decided to have a go at the no lines method (I used whispers ink but possibly needed to go lighter)
and I must say it's harder than I thought...
I'm not sure whether I can say I prefer it but I think that it produces a nice soft look and I may do it again for baby cards...Teddys etc
In fact WRS studio Bella the elephant is on my hit list...A cute grey baby elephant would be great I think!

I was pleased to see that
Ready Teddy Go Challenge is Summer days
 and
Papertake weekly challenge is...Child's Play

so my Wild Rose Studio stamp of Emily with her teddy is perfect!

 Coloured in with Promarkers...

Daisy punch and Martha Stewart Doilly punch

and finished with a friend sticker.

Well my new Wild Rose Studio Christmas stamps and papers have arrived...
so I had a day unearthing and dusting off the christmas box full of goodies...
So expect to see some Ribbons, tinsel, glitter snow and lots of red and green buttons!

So see you back here soon with some christmas inspiration..

Thanks for popping by.
Please leave me a comment!

Animal Antics with Emily and cat!

Hello peeps.
What a glorious start to September!
I've had a little sunbathe in the garden today and also started some Christmas stamping.
One extreme to the other.
My school has inset days so I went in yesterday but home today so I was able to drop my girls both off...
Laurens last year at Primary school (Yr 6) and Megan is in Yr 10.
Where does the time go?

Okay so how about I show you a card?

This is a Wild Rose Studio stamp called 'Emily with cat'
I love the detail and it was so easy to colour.
My ink is a little lighter as I was mucking around with the no lines tecnique but I was a bit unsure.
However I like the end result.

A couple of this weeks challenges are

Simon Wednesday Challenge...Animal Antics
Papertake Weekly...Anything Goes.

As you can see I coloured with Promarkers and cut the image out!
Glittery shoes are just a must!

The Purrrfect sentiment for this card (also WRS)
and the beautiful matching  6x6 papers are awash with flowers...

So just some christmas colouring to do later and then I can share some of the new Wild Rose Studio christmas stamps and papers with you...
Thanks for visiting me today!

Ladybird Tilda...

Hello there...
Can you believe it's September?
Last few days of the summer holiday now which always makes me a little down hearted.
I love my tan and getting up at 10 am and wearing shorts everyday!

Back to school next week in sensible clothes!
(I did buy some bright pink suede flats to wear)

I've got a Tilda card to show you today...

Ladybird Tilda is still one of my favourite Tilda stamps.
I also used one of my favourite colour combos...Red and blue with touches of cream/white.

The papers are from a Wild Rose Studio pack called Flights of fancy and feature bluebirds and birdcages...so pretty!
The lace doilly is a new purchase and my scallop fits perfectly over the top.

I used a little bit of glaze on her wellies...I think you can see the shine in the photo.
I hand drew a bit more grass behind her with some stems and flowers.

I used lots of blue patterned leftovers and my daisy punches to make up this layered flower.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges...

Simon says Stamp...Anything Goes
Digi Sketch Challenge...Vintage theme
Tildas Town...Anything Goes

Thanks for coming to visit me today.
Hope you like my card.
Leave me a comment and become a follower and I'll come visit you too!
