Tilda with sledge...

Afternoon Ladies......
Today has just whizzed by...although it doesn't help when you knock over a cup of tea on the computer desk just as you start to begin your post!
All cleared up now but I am very behind.
Girls just getting changed into their cute Black cat outfits and then we are off to the village hall for the Kids Halloween party and then back to the close for some 'Trick or Treat' and home made soup and Hot Dogs with the neighbours.
My card today is the gorgeous Christmas Tilda with sledge.

I have made a few of these in different colours and this is the pastel one. I coloured her with PMs and added a bit of shading with a soft grey blendable pencil.
I added some punched snowflkes with white sequin centres down one side and small fluffy blue pom poms on wire down the other.

She is glittered with crystal sparkles and I've used some blue sparkly ribbon along the centre and on the 'Let It Snow' tag.
I'm entering her into the following Challenges.
1. Winter Wonderland....Open theme this week.
2. Creative Card crew...Snowflakes
3. LaLa land...Ribbon

Must go and get some black clothes on now and get my witches hat....'Cackle cackle'
Have a very Happy, safe and fun filled Halloween evening!!

What's on your desk Wednesday?

View to the left.

view from above.

View to the right.
Oh dear...whichever way you look at it.....It's still a mess!
So, what is on my desk this Wednesday? I've been doing some reindeer christmas cards, so flowers and buttons, Wild Rose Studio reindeer image and handmade paper.
My button box is an old Partylite votive box and it still has the beautiful smell of the candles when I open it.

And here is one of the finished cards. As there are 4 images to a page, I have been making them all up and just putting a different little accent at the bottom next to the greeting.

This one was flowers but I have buttons and a star and jewell on the others.

So ...It's getting dark...girls are in and getting in the bath. My Cousin is coming across from Bournemouth for a visit tomorrow with her little ones and my Aunt so we are looking forward to having them here for lunch.
Hope your christmas crafting is coming along...Thanks for dropping by...please leave a kind comment!

My Christmas cards...sorted!

Evening peeps....
I started doing some Christmas cards in August and like a lot of you I did them for challenges and with new stamps but they were all one offs and very involved and and while they were great to go in my stock to sell at Craft fairs, the 100 or so that I had to make to send out were still looming over me and I hadn't found my groove with it! But after finding a pack of handmade cream paper I got to work with the images from Wild Rose Studio and now I have made a start!

The solution really is to keep it simple so I printed off some of the images and coloured them in with my promarkers...chalked the edges with a warm golden glow then added lots of glitter and layered them on coloured card before attaching them to the thick cream handmade paper.

The Angels and fairies are just so pretty.

The finishing touch is a colour matched flower with ribbon and the greeting.

I'm entering these into Danni's 'Flutter by Wednesday challenge' which is to use fairies or butterflies on your cards.
I'm looking forward to making the reindeer and mouse now.
Hope you have had a nice day today ...Thanks for dropping by!

Fright Night!!

Hi there Ladies...Isn't it dark out now?
I have spent another day blobbing in my joggers and planning christmas cards. Had a few friends round for a cuppa. My friends little boy came round to show me his broken arm in a cast. Ahhh!
Tomorrow we are going to see 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' so I will have to wear some proper clothes to go out and about.
Just spoken to the neighbours to plan our Saturday 'Fright Night'! We are all walking down with the kids to the village hall for the Halloween activities...fancy dress competition...spooky food...apple bobbing...lucky dip etc and then we are back in the close for some 'trick or treating' and sausages and soup on the green.
So here is another Halloween card and this one is entered into a few Challenges.
1.Crafty Creations...All Hallows Eve.
2.Cupcake Craft...Things that go bump in the Night.
3.Kaboodle doodle...Halloween
4.Cinema Saturday...'Hocus Pocus'
5.Tuesday Taggers...Halloween
6.Crazy 4 Challenges...'It's all geometric'... use 3 different shapes.(Square, Circle, Rectangle)

I do love my buttons and this DCWV ribbon!

The ghost shapes are Sizzix, of course. A few years old now.

I was sorting out a pile of 'stuff' that was next to the T.V in the bedroom the other day and found a natural handmade paper pad that I bought at the Eden project in Cornwall 3 years ago...new, unused and still in its wrapper!!!
Why do we do that? So I ripped it open and have been putting it to good use...the orange front cover I used on this card and the cream paper I have been using for some Christmas cards which I will post up soon!
So X factor rant... John and Edward still going strong?????? and poor Danyl in the sing off????? What is going on?
Thanks for dropping by... Bye for now!

I have been doing NVQ work packs every evening and have 2 more units to get verified!
I have had no crafting time this week so I am showing you my last card order...A wedding card with a pink gerbera theme.

Close up of the Butterflies.... This is a sizzix sizzlets die!

I added some beads and sparkle!

Today I am with my youngest as hubby is at Football and my eldest is at a swimming and Pizza party til 3.30pm. Tomorrow hubby will be at Wembley for the NFL game so more crafting and blobbing with the girls...they are pooped also and as it is rainy and windy are very happy to watch DVDs and play on the Wii, draw, read etc....

Wild Rose Studio Xmas paper

Evening ladies...
It's been another busy week and I still have an action packed day tomorrow.
I am showing you some more beautiful paper from the Wild Rose Studio Christmas CD and this time I wanted to use this pretty poisetta paper printed in pink to make a goody bag.

The template for the bag is from Papermania and is really easy to make.

I cut and decoupaged one of the flowers for the gift tag and added some glitter, beads and ribbon! I think these would be great on the dinner table with a little gift/sweets inside.

So I am doing Art tomorrow morning with Year 3/4 and have the AGM of the Parents committee in the afternoon. I have done my 2 years as Chair so am passing the torch on to another member of the group. Lots of paperwork and handouts prepared for that. I met with my assessor today and I have passed another 2 units of my NVQ and have 3 others already half way done!
I'm off to watch some T.V with my hubby now..nearly forgotten what he looks like!
Thanks for dropping by.....Take care...Bye for now!

Snow girl and 3 challenges!

Good Afternoon to you all...
Why does it pour with rain just as you have to go and stand in the playground to pick up from school? We have just had parents evening and I had two glowing reports from my girl's teachers!
They are both in the top groups for Numeracy and Literacy and doing very well in all aspects of school life...so I am very pleased!!! This is especially good for my 6 year old who is the youngest Year 2 and is in with mostly 7 year olds, holding her own!

My card today is using my 'girl with presents' again from the Christmas Wild Rose Studio CD. I printed off the co-ordinating background paper as well.

I am entering this card in 3 Challenges:
1. Die Cut dreams.....'Winter Wonderland theme'.
2. Fun with shapes and more...'Something Christmassy but not traditional colours'.
3. Paperplay #39...'use your favourite embellishment',(I have used my top two favs.....being Buttons and Ribbon)

Civil wedding card....

Afternoon ladies...
Hope you all had a good weekend! We spent Sunday visiting some old friends who used to be our neighbours at our first house in Crawley. That was when we were all young, free and single, back in 1994! We met in the Show Home and then discovered we had bought houses next door to one another!
5 kids later...they have triplets....and we are still best Buds.
We had home made Shepherds pie for dinner with Apple pie and custard for pud! Lovely.

So ..onto todays card which was an order made for a couple getting married on Saturday!

This is when personalised handmade cards are great as I'm sure it must be difficult to find Civil ceremony cards for same sex marriages.

My sizzix dolls are still very popular and I love dressing them up!

Off to do some more orders and have a cuppa. Hubby has offered to collect the girls from school so I have an extra hour to play with! Thanks for popping by....

Afternoon everyone!

It was an order for a mum at school for her Gardening Dad. She asked me at 9am if I had a gardening card to bring up at 3pm...so it was a quick trott home to rustle something up!

I used a mix of Die cuts and stamps, coloured in with promarkers and a prima flower.

I have got lots of things on the go at the moment..Health and Safety unit on my NVQ...Fundraising committee AGM next week, so lots of handouts and contact lists to do... sleepovers to organise, Halloween night for the kids...My brain must be full up soon!! Cardmaking is at the back at the mo!!!

Flower Power...

Good Evening Blogets!
I found a few hours this morning to catch up on some card orders. I had to make a floral card for Auntie Lily and I liked it so much I made one for Grandma aswell.

So here is the card for Grandma.

I added a computer message with ribbon to the centre of the card which was covered with some gorgeous American Traditions Lime green paper.
I couldn't resist adding a couple of wooden ladybirds in different sizes.

It really looks like she is peeking through the flowers. I really like how these have turned out and I will show you the other one tomorrow!

I've had a houseful this evening as my little one had 2 friends for tea and I invited a friend in for a cuppa with her 2 children so all together 6 of them in and out! (The other one is my eldest...just in case you thought I couldn't count)
I'm having breakfast with a friend first thing tomorrow and then doing tea and chat with another friend at 2pm! So much for keeping Monday and Tuesday for cardmaking!
Hope you pop back for a quick peep again....bye!!!
