Strawberry cupcakes....
Hello there...hope you are all enjoying this Bank holiday Monday!
I know I am! Getting a bit of 'me time' as hubby is home and is playing on the wii with little one while I am on here. Lots of crafty things going on in my eldest daughters room. She has been printing off photos and is decorating photo frames with glass jewells.
Even though it is overcast today I am in a summery mood and have made some colourful strawberry cupcake cards...
This was a digi download and I can't remember where it is from..Sorry!
I coloured the cakes with my promarkers to match the pre-coloured paper that came with it.
Added lemon ice stickles glitter and some beads, all new stash along with the colourful circles background paper which is funnily enough called 'cupcakes' and is by Crafts House. The green and white spot ribbon is from DCWV.
and here are the challenges and the themes these cards are entered into....
1. Passion 4 promarkers...'Anything goes'
2. Charisma cardz...'Going round in circles'
3. Cupcake craft...'Summer delights'
4. Crafty Ann's...'Lots of Colour'
5. One stitch at a time...'use something new'
Fancy cupcakes always remind me of Summer fairs and childrens tea parties.
It's half term this week so a few things planned...friends visiting, pictures and lunches out...but I'll be back with more cards so do come visit again...
Before I go....What did you all think of the Eurovision winner? She sounded as though she was doing a really bad cockney accent...You could tell who her influences are! It was a catchy song and I do quite like it...
Sorry Josh...just too dated!
Bye for now....

'In the Garden' with Penny Black.
HELLLLOOOOOO!
It feels like ages since I have been able to show you a card! Lots of news to share but first a Penny Black Saturday Challenge card. The theme is 'In the garden'.
I just couldn't resist using lots of ladybird embellishments to go with this hedgehog Stickeroo.
Little wooden ones and organza ribbon with them on! The green background paper is Wild Rose Studio.
So onto other news and I spent Thursday afternoon at a job interview in a local school. I had to do a task first which was to take a 15 minute shared reading lesson to a group of 3/4 children while being watched by the Head and Deputy Head teachers.
Then I had a tour of the school and then had a bit of a wait in the staffroom as each candidate joined me and we all waited to find out who would go through to the formal interview. It was like the 'X factor' as each person got called out and we saw them walk past the window going home.
So 2 of us left the Head teacher came back to tell us we were both going on to have interviews.....
Another hour later and I left 3 hours after I arrived. I got a call at 5pm to offer me the job!!!! So I start on the 14th June officially but will be going in for an induction day after half term. My level 3 NVQ certificate also arrived last week so I'm pleased that all the hard work paid off!
Hope you all have a good weekend...I will be watching the 'Eurovision Song Contest' tonight. Have always watched it and love reminising about the songs from the 70's. One of the first singles I bought was Jonny Logan...'What's another year'
Fabulous!

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday?
Hi all....
I'm just in time for WOYWW at Julia's Stamping Ground blog.....
Not much cardmaking going on at my desk I'm afraid...
I have been busy doing some organising for the school summer fair and preparing for an interview tomorrow, but I thought you might like to see another bead bargain.
These gorgeous beads were from the CraftBank and you could fill at pot for £2.
They look as though they are fimo clay but they feel quite soft like rubber...I'm not totally sure what they are made of but I couldn't resist them.
The colours and designs are so gorgeous.
I just need some time to do some threading. How many necklaces and bracelets can I make I wonder?
Hope to show some cards very soon. I have another visit to stock the Post office as she has sold out now....
Thanks for dropping by...come again soon...xxx

What a scorcher!!!
Phew...just spent a fabulous hot weekend with friends who live in a small village on the Oxford/Cotswold border. This was the view from their garden on Friday evening. Had a BBQ and a few drinkies....
On Saturday we went to the Cotswolds Animal Farm. This is the kids playing in the sandpit, or rather 'posing' in the sandpit!
Lots of adults bouncing on the trampolines...very funny! I was the only one with a camera so there are no embarrassing pictures of me....
You could buy food to feed the goats...they were a hungry lot!
Now for the 'ahhh' moment...Some cute chicks that you could hold....
My little one didn't want to give it back!
10 day old piglets.....
So back home and been to Portsmouth this morning to the Craft Bank to get some things for school fair. Got some fab beads for myself...show you those another day.
Must get on with some card orders now!
Thanks for popping by.....

Daisy, Daisy....
Hello again...
I'm having another in and out kinda day...shopping this morning for some shorts for my ever growing daughter...back for a cuppa and a blog post and out again at 1.30pm.
So onto some cardmaking...Some cute Penny Black hedgehogs!
These little guys were the last ones left from a sheet of stickeroos and looked a bit lost by themselves. They look much happier together in the garden with the daisies....
I'm entering this card into The Penny Black Saturday Challenge and Papertake Weekly
as they both have 'Flowers' as their theme this week!
Off to do some sewing now with some friends at the school...tell you more about that later! Bye for now...

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday?
Good Morning....
So another Wednesday and on my desk today....
Some digistamp boutique images that I won in an Allsorts challenge. Pirate Sam and a cute girl with a handbag! I am colouring them in but it has been a slow process. A bargain pack of mini bead jars from QS...£1 for a pack of 10!!! I bought these yesterday....and a post it note holder for my handbag, another great price £2.39.
I just want to show you close up these little bead jars...I thought these were so good. They were in a small craft/childrens toy rack. These would be 99p each in a craft shop! You also get a reel of plastic thread and 2 beading needles.I really want to do some dainty daisy cards now and use these in the centres.
I have been doing some cooking in school this morning making rhubarb crumble cakes.
This afternoon I am going for a cuppa with a friend and then we are off to taste the new school dinners. I haven't been in much this week to do any cardmaking and I am desperate to have a day at home alone in my craftroom.
Hope you have time for some crafting and enjoying some sun! Pop over to see some other workdesks at Julia's Stamping ground blog!
Thanks for dropping by...Bye for now.

Family Baptism card
Hi there all....
I have managed to log on...I thought my new laptop would give me some freedom from waiting for the main computer but then other things popped up.
This baptism card order was given to me and was kinda urgent, then I saw a temporary teaching assistants job that I just had to apply for. So the CV had to be updated and forms filled in and this afternoon I have been for a tour of the school.
So lots going on including market stall meeting at 9.30am this morning and school Summer Fair meeting today at 3.30pm.
This baptism card was for four children in the same family and the brief was keep it simple as long as it had a cross on it and their names and the date.
Must away to collect girls from school now... I shall be back on later to hop around to see some of you and to catch up on some challenges.
Bye for now....

Such a cute face! (Rob Pattinson and the cat)
Hello there.
Let's start with another WRS card for you. You may have seen this card drying on my table yesterday. I couldn't wait to use my new Polka Dot paperpad.
I already had this cat playing with the washing coloured in.
He has such a cute face.
I love these little fish eye buttons...
Also used some eyelets and my crop-o-dile....and here's the challenges....
1. Cupcake Craft....'Buttons'
2. One stitch at a time...'Polka Dots'
3. My time to craft...'Soooo Cute'
Watch out for some new cards with the new WRS Milton Bear. Lots of flowers and gardening scenes....
Here's something spooky....Remember my comment yesterday about David Cameron and Nick Clegg and I could see them as Morecambe and Wise. I guess the guys in Wapping had the same idea coz they have mocked them up on the front page of The Sun newspaper doing the 'Bring me Sunshine' dance!
Just one last thing before I get on with some cards....Happy Birthday to the gorgeous Robert Pattinson who is 24 today.....let me know if you fancy a joint party next year Rob.(sigh)
Thanks for stopping by....bye for now.

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday?
Hi all..
Now I'm not really into Politics but I was glued to the TV last night watching the live events as Gordon Brown left Downing Street and went to Buckingham Palace and David Cameron moved very swiftly in...the bedsheets must have still been warm!
Talking of bedsheets I now have visions of David Cameron and Nick Clegg in single beds next to each other like Morecambe and Wise!
So I came downstairs this morning at 6.30am and took some photos of my desk. I'm quite pleased it has something on it as it has been very tidy the last few weeks.
I think I have come full circle. It needed a tidy up so it looked respectable to post up but an empty table is a bit boring so now I am making sure I have enough mess to show that I am actually working.
Pride of place is my new laptop...this is my first post on it!
Some new goodies..2 paperpacks, fabric brads, jewels and lemon ice stickles.
If you fancy being a bit nosy and looking around some other workdesks check out Julia's 'Stamping ground' blog.
Back soon with some more cards.
Thanks for stopping by!
Bye!

My Birthday!!!
Good Morning peeps...It's my birthday today!
"Happy forty tooth birthday mummy" said my six year old this morning....I can guarantee every one at school will know today!
So, we have been without the computer for a few days but I got a shiny new laptop for my birthday from hubby!!! Yey!
I'm showing you a 'cat in garden' card made with my fave stamps...Wild Rose Studio as I'm sure you know by now.
I love colouring these in and they sell very well too! One friend bought 7 of them last week.
So I am out to lunch with a gaggle of ladies today...I use that term quite loosley!
We are off to the pub near Fontwell...probably will just about make it up to school for pick up time at 3.20pm.
Thank you to Tracy (Country Mouse) for the lovely card...
More cards and photos of this and that tomorrow!
Have a great May 10th! It's a fab day!!

Computer went BANG!
Hello all....
We are having computer problems again...this time there were loads of bangs like machine gun fire and then a burning smell. Yeeks! Where's the fire extinguisher?
So the base unit has gone to the Docs again and we think it needs a new power supply.
I'm using a very, very, slllooowwww dinosaur of a laptop that my daughter uses.
I can't show any cards at the moment as the are all loaded on the hardrive but I have some new stash from a shopping trip on Thursday and a new DT package, Wild Rose Studio stamps and papers...Thank you Dulcie!
So some things to be getting on with.
It's my Birthday tomorrow... a new laptop is on it's way!!!!!
Hope to be back to normal soon....
Enjoy the weekend...

WOYWW?
Is it that time of the week again? What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?
Well...my table is still tidy, my cutting mat is empty, except for a little pile to the right.
On closer inspection I have a Tilda topper just waiting to be used and a cream circle and red scallop edge waiting for something to jump in it...my mini button box and a piece of black and white gingham ribbon that I have on standby.
This is my 'projects pending' tray. Lots of stamped and coloured images, mounted and un-mounted ready to be made into cards...
My A4 paper and card tray has a few gaps in it! I did notice yesterday that I had no red card at all...
I need a stock take and shopping trip!
If you want to have a nose around other people's desks or join in yourself go to see Julia at Stamping Ground...
Thanks for visiting me! See you again soon...Bye for now...♥
