Fabric squares...

Good Morning all...
I have an inset day today so I should be cardmaking but I stayed a little too long after dropping my daughter to school to chat and join in with the Easter Egg raffle and now I am blogging!
So lets get on...
I saw these fabric squares in my local fabric store and couldn't resist...they were in a row of 8 for 50p...

I trimmed and then sewed them onto linen...cut and frayed the edges and then mounted onto two layers of co-ordinating card...

I added glitter glue to the stems and gems to the flower centres and beads and sequins to the butterflies...

Just needed a change from colouring in stamped images...
Will be back to that soon as I have lots of new Wild Rose Studio DT stash to use.

If you love Wild Rose Studio then we are looking for 2 new DT members so check out the details and the stamps and come join a lovely team!

Creative Card Crew challenge is Spring so I hope these little cards are jolly enough!
Back soon with lots more to show!

A sunny Saturday in Bognor Regis

Good Morning all
I know I should do some crafting today but I really wanted to be out and about and taking advantage of living by the seaside..

Breakfast at our favourite beach cafe...

The beginning of the season is officially April 1st, but the weather was glorious   this morning so it felt like summer already.
This little blue train runs all day from one end of the promenade to the other.

Lots of new apartment blocks are springing up along the seafront....
I quite fancy living in one of these when I am older...

I love these seaside shops and these colourful windmills.
Promise to do some crafting soon.....

Happy Mothers day!

Hi all...
Just wanted to pop on here and share another
Mothers day card and hope that all the mums around the world have enjoyed a little bit of pampering today...

I started the day quite early with a cup of tea and a tin of chocolates from my daughters, then we set off to watch my eight year old sing in the school choir at a special Mothers day service in our local Church.
The children sang beautifully and then handed out posies of flowers...

Yesterday our school choir competed in the Chichester Music festival and won the Primary School Choir category...
They really are excellent!

The rest of my day consisted of a little bit of crafting and then out for some food in Smith 'N' Western...Ribs and Chicken...Yummy!

Relaxing now with some TV before bed and then another busy week...
Thanks for popping by..

A flower for Mum...

Good Afternoon everyone....
I'm back with a Mothers Day card...
and I've kept it along the CAS lines....

White space with a single stem...I used all my daisy punches in various sizes, layered up with a pearl centre.

I couldn't resist buying these felt leaves from The Works...

Irridescent butterfly and K&Co alphabet tiles are great for finishing touches...
I also had to add lots of glitter!

Some challenges...
CraftyCatz...Mothers Day
Papertake Weekly...Mum/one for the Girls
Allsorts...Say it with flowers

Hope you have all had a good week...
It's nearly the weekend...so I'm really hoping that I can do some crafting.
It's been a couple of weeks since I had a good session in my craft room.
Wild Rose Studio have got lots of new stamps and papers, including Bella, who is a baby elephant. I am waiting for my DT parcel to arrive...so I can make some cards to show you...and look out for Paula Holifield, a very talented cardmaker who is the newest WRS DT member...
Thanks for popping by....

Lent Artwork for school....

Hi all...
Just sorting out some cards to show but first I thought I would show what I have been doing at school.
Lent display with some artwork....
                                       Jesus goes into the desert....

The devil speaks to Jesus...
In our assembly, Father Andrew depicts the Devil as a woman with green eyes....
 and so begins the temptations.
Jesus is cold, alone and hungry....
Jesus proves his worth and the Devil gives up....the angels come to take care of him and Jesus travels again...

Our lenten path is filling up with footprints and I will photograph the whole display to show just before Easter...
Hope you like my drawings....
Back with some Mothers day and Easter cards soon...

Hello crafty bloggers...
Hope you are all having a nice week..
I can't believe it's a week since I posted a card...very naughty!
We had a lovely weekend away with friends who live on the Oxford/Cotswolds border so lots of fresh air walking to the pub....

This beautiful church is a stones throw from their house.

So here's a nice Spring coloured card using a Penny Black stamp.

Coloured with my promarkers...a touch of glitter..
lots of paper flowers and die cut swirls...

This glitter butterfly was from a Hobbycraft pack that I got in the sale...99p for a pack of 8...

I got these little pearls from Bunny Zoes.

Some challenges...

Delightful sketches...Spring colours

I've been very busy doing some artwork for school...I hope I can photograph it and show you soon...
I am selling at a Table top sale in school tomorrow...so fingers crossed it will be busy and the mums will come and buy before pick up time...
Thanks for stopping by my little blog.
Please leave me a comment and become a follower and I will do the same for you!

One for the Boys...

Good Evening all...

Here's another of those rare male cards....Quite basic..not too fussy!

I used this great Football boy stamp from Wild Rose Studio...
The black dot paper is from DCWV.

Coloured in with Promarkers...

I'm never sure what to do with embellishments on mens cards...
I had another stamp set with some accessories on it so used the backpack, ball and cone as a little bit of added interest along a strip of green card.

Some challenges...

Simon says stamp....Anything goes
Cupcake Craft...Boys and their Toys
Crafty catz...Something beginning with B...Boy, Ball, Black, Back pack
Dream Valley...Just for men

I arrived home today to find my new Tildas have arrived...so exciting!
I now have the Castle and some Princessess and the beautiful horse...so time to start perfecting the masking technique...

Less is More...Don't scrap it!

Happy Sunday Morning..
Hope yours is Easy...so far mine is.
Although I do have a few dilemmas with my cardmaking today...
I'm a very organised kind of gal...and a bit of a perfectionist and sometimes crafting pushes the limits...
My craft room for example starts off nice and tidy and then turns chaotic and messy quite quickly.

It becomes the dumping ground for all the things that the family don't know what to do with..sports bags, shopping bags and this week...an old tv turned up on my sofa from DD2 bedroom, so it's now on my desk cos it still works and I can't just get rid of it!

This now follows into my cardmaking...as I am trying to have more CAS style but also love using up all my stash!
The Less is More challenge this week is to use your SCRAPS!

How many bags, boxes of those do we all have?
I have quite a few and I must say I do love using them...
So from out of some of this lot I decided to start on an Easter/Spring card...

and it turned out quite pretty....

I used 2 flower punches and an egg punch and cut slithers of green card for stems.

I even used a scrap that had little bird/chicks on and cut them out...(not so simple...bit fiddley)

So it did start out as Less is more...but I had to stop myself as I could have added more....
I do hope the Lovely Limettes think this still qualifies!

Allsorts Challenge Blog have an Anything Goes...so that maybe the real mantra for the crafting day....

CAS Boo with flower...

Good Evening all...
A CAS card this evening...No stamping or background papers, no layers or ribbon! No jewels or glitter!

Two challenges this week that asked for a CAS card...

Less is More...and their CAS challenge theme was to use Die Cuts/Punches...
My Boo Bear is a die and my flower is a Punch.

and Lets Craft and Create...Who have chosen CAS as their theme this week.

I wanted a simple sentiment to fit any occassion so I used my Night and Day Alphabet Sizzlets....
and I just had to add a button on to my flower...
It's nearly Friday and the weekend again!!!
Have a good one...
back soon!

Paws for thought...

Time for a Wild Rose Studio card...
and this was one of the first stamps that Dulcie (owner and illustrator of WRS) sent me when she asked me to be on her DT...

I so love all her cute animals and especially the cute kittens.

Coloured with Promarkers and lots of glitter and gems added to the flowers...

The WRS range of products also includes all these lovely background papers
and sentiment stamps!
The Organza ribbon is recycled from the blanks cards and envelope pack.

I'm also linking this card up to the
which this week is 'Layers'...

Thanks for dropping by....TTFN x
