SLUGS AND SNAILS....

Hello there peeps...
Wow...It's scorching hot out there..
I have to say I have spent most of the weekend outside.
Quick trip to town yesterday and we sat on the beach for an ice cream before coming home.
Today has been spent sitting on the garden hammock chatting to my sister who came to visit...

One stop craft Challenge theme this week is 'One for the Boys' so I can show you some more boy cards that I made with Sally-ann Hancocks digi stamps.

I coloured in two digis with different colours and made the cards up at the same time...

No frills or fuss for these boys...the masculine paper is from DCWV Retro pack.

Hope you have enjoyed the sun this weekend....
I'll be back with more cards and chat soon...
weather permitting!

Rocket man....

Evening all...
Been so busy that I have actually forgotten to post anything this week...Shocking!
I am covering for someone off sick in the afternoons so I'm virtually doing full time at work at the moment...

I checked out some challenges and saw that
Lets Craft and Create have a theme of 'Stars in their eyes'

Thought this little fella might fit the bill...
This cute digi is coloured with Promarkers...I used my new metallic silver one on the rocket....
So I'm also entering this card into
I love promarkers Challenge this week which has an 'Anything Goes' theme.

Lots of stars and glitter...

I used a circle die to cut out the moon and a couple of different size hole punches then layered orange behind the yellow.
Makes a nice change to do a boy card...

I've been drafted into the Jubilee Day/Party Commitee at school, so I'm looking up lots of crafts that we can do with kids aged 5-11.
We are having tables set up outside with decorations and bunting.
Should be good fun!

Thanks for visiting my blog...please leave me a comment and pop back soon!

In the garden with Penny Black...

Hello all
I'm back with a cute Penny Black hedgie card for
Penny Black Saturday Challenge of 'In the garden'

I used a Stickeroo on a background of chalked grass and sky which I then mounted on yellow and green.
I've had this lovely Gingham paper for a few years now...I think it was from Lakeland...I used to like their Craft dept.

The little bee was mounted onto cards and then cut out and stuck on with foam pads for some added dimension.

Two different sized flower punches...layered up and a round birthday Wild Rose Studio sentiment stamp in the centre.
Lime green ribbon for a stem and leaves.

Crafting has been very eratic at present as we are having our hall, stairs and landing painted and in a townhouse that's quite a job...
Lots of things have been dumped in my craftroom...shelves, pictures, and hall furniture.
I've also had a birthday so had a busy weekend with friends and went to Brightons Amex Football stadium for a beautiful meal in the hospitality suite.
Hubby is a referee and was running the line on the Sussex senior Cup Final.

I'm not exactly a football fan but it was such a lovely day weather wise.

The teams were Whitehawks (from Brighton) and Crawley Down.
Whitehawks won 2-1.

So enough from me this evening...thanks for dropping by my blog and reading all my news.

Celebrate with Bella...

Happy Sunday to you all.
It's still cold and rainy around most of the country but that's not a bad thing for us crafters...extra time to stay inside and craft!
I have lots of things in the pipeline...
New display boards to design for school and a painting commission!
plus of course cardmaking....

I have been using my new Wild Rose Studio stamps and papers...and made
another card with Bella the baby elephant.
This is just such a sweet and clever image.

Bella is holding a flower surrounded by balloons looking adoringly up to...???
Could be her mummy, daddy, auntie, grandma, big sister...
This stamp can be used for so many occasions!
As it's been Mother Day in the USA, I think this is her Mum and she is showing her how much she loves her on her special day....

I've added a string of bunting to add to that feel of a celebration...and have coloured the balloons in soft ice-cream summery colours...

Lemon flower with a lilac button to tie in with the background paper colours...

One last close up of Bella...I used Promarkers and pencils to colour her in.

One Stop Craft...Celebrations

A Spring Bouquet for May is on the way!

Good Afternoon all...
Wow Blogger has changed...took me a while to work out how to do a new post!
Once again the week has flown by and left me way behind with my crafting.

But here is my card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week which is May Day Spring theme.

I just love these Stickeroos...

I'm still into adding a little string of bunting on my cards, especially on spring and summer themed cards. I love using up all those little scraps as well...

The white picket fence is a Sizzix die...it looks like this little hedgie is rushing past my garden to get to the party...
Sentiment is a stamp from Wild Rose studio and you may see a lot of these on my cards at the moment as I love putting them in the centre of my punched flowers.

I am also entering this card intoThe Creative Belli challenge of Animals.

Well, at least with all this horrible cold rainy weather we seem to be having...no-one is that keen to go out so I'm hoping to do some more crafting today and tomorrow...
Stay warm and dry!
Thanks for visiting me and please leave a comment, become a follower and I will do the same for you!

Bella the Elephant...

Good afternoon crafty bloggers...
It's been a busy week back to work after the Easter break and I've been feeling a bit tired so any spare time has been spent cardmaking rather then on the laptop...
I had some gorgeous stamps and papers sent to me by Dulcie and Matt
at Wild Rose Studio and the main character in the new range is this little cutie...
Bella the Elephant.

I coloured with Promarkers and used blendable pencils to add a little bit of finer contrast in the shadows.

The Bella paper pack is in lovely girly pinks and lilacs and has bold and gentle spray florals...spots and dots and some butterflies.

WRS have also produced a stamping set of 6 very versatile circle sentiments.
One of which you can see here...I have threaded my green ribbon stem through it on this card.

and some challenges...

Paper Crafting Journey...Use 3 or more patterned papers
Paper Playtime.....A Birthday card with a sentiment
Card Makin Mamas...Make it Girly
Wags'n'Whiskers...Anything Goes

Check back here for my next Bella card or pop over to the WRS blog and check out lots of new stamps and maybe some news about the new DT members!

Just sitting watching the London Marathon on TV and enjoying seeing our beautiful Capital city bathed in sunshine...and all the incredible people raising money for some fantastic charities...
First celebrity finished, the model and presenter Nell McAndrew!
2 hrs and 54 minutes....Amazing!!!
What an inspiration...makes me want to get my running shoes on!

Have a great Sunday!

Spotty red ladybirds....

Good Afternoon all...
Saturday is my favourite day of the week and is usually filled with some
Cupcake baking and Disney film watching with my daughters...a little bit of crafting and a little bit of housework...(I actually quite like cleaning my kitchen)
and of course it's the Penny Black Saturday Challenge!
with a theme of Spots and Stripes...

I used this adorable Hedgehog and ladybird Stickeroo.
Layered onto a circle and scallop.

I wanted to use some spotty and gingham papers so made some bunting to hang along the top...this just makes everything look like a summer party!

I continued the theme with this cute ladybird ribbon layered onto some more blue gingham paper.
This also links in with The Crafty Ribbons Challenge and their theme of
 Things with wings...
For those of us who have children or who work in Education tonight is our last late night as we are all back to school on Monday morning...so I had best make sure we all have our school clothes/P.E kits ready.
Back to Swimming lessons, Dance club and Gymnastics...
Roll on the summer Holidays!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend..TTFN

What's on your workdesk Wednesday?

Morning folks...
It's time to be nosy and see what everyone else is doing in WOYWDW!
Brain child of Julia Dunnit on her stamping ground blog!
Well, here is what is on my workdesk....

Do you wanna a closer look?
Here's a quick tour....

Lots of circle toppers that I made last night with my
 Home Sweet Home Sizzix die...
I had a little bit of help from my 8 year old daughter
who actually has a really good eye for picking colours and papers
...I let her have a free reign with the top one....

3mm Ribbon...some rolls from last years trip to Florida, 50c each and some new ones that I bought from a wholesaler who came to a school craft fair and she was selling 50m rolls for £1...

Some new stamps...Magnolia and Wild Rose Studio DT package!
Really want to start on those but am feeling very guilty at the pile of toppers that need to be made into finished cards...
I think I may have to help hubby replace two fence panels today and eldest daughter has just told me that she wants to be dropped off at a friends house..twenty minutes drive away and then there will be the picking up the other end and of course there is also this to distract me....

 Ok..better crack on then!
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Crafting...

Spring is in the air....

Well...I sort of thought it was and then came the Easter weekend and it went back to being cold with gale force wind and rain....
I have been away to Derby with the hubster for a 40th birthday of one of my bezzie mates...she hired a band and a caller and we did some square dancing!
Excellent fun!
Good News is....
I still have some Easter Eggs left and I did some crafting today!!!

So here's a Springtime card with an older Wild Rose Studio stamp.
I have some new ones all waiting to go but Mr Mojo hasn't been kicking in recently and as we all know 'Life' gets in the way sometimes.
However I think I may have kick started it today...with a little help from an certain little daughter who wanted to help me in my craftroom.

I just love colouring in these little cats.
Gingham and floral papers and sentiment are also from the WRS collection.

Finishing touches are my little punched daisies and bead centres...
It's ages since I did some challenges so here are a couple I found.

Cupcake Craft...Spring is in the air
Crafters Companion...Four legged friends

See you back here soon!
Thanks for stopping by!

Fabric squares...

Good Morning all...
I have an inset day today so I should be cardmaking but I stayed a little too long after dropping my daughter to school to chat and join in with the Easter Egg raffle and now I am blogging!
So lets get on...
I saw these fabric squares in my local fabric store and couldn't resist...they were in a row of 8 for 50p...

I trimmed and then sewed them onto linen...cut and frayed the edges and then mounted onto two layers of co-ordinating card...

I added glitter glue to the stems and gems to the flower centres and beads and sequins to the butterflies...

Just needed a change from colouring in stamped images...
Will be back to that soon as I have lots of new Wild Rose Studio DT stash to use.

If you love Wild Rose Studio then we are looking for 2 new DT members so check out the details and the stamps and come join a lovely team!

Creative Card Crew challenge is Spring so I hope these little cards are jolly enough!
Back soon with lots more to show!

A sunny Saturday in Bognor Regis

Good Morning all
I know I should do some crafting today but I really wanted to be out and about and taking advantage of living by the seaside..

Breakfast at our favourite beach cafe...

The beginning of the season is officially April 1st, but the weather was glorious   this morning so it felt like summer already.
This little blue train runs all day from one end of the promenade to the other.

Lots of new apartment blocks are springing up along the seafront....
I quite fancy living in one of these when I am older...

I love these seaside shops and these colourful windmills.
Promise to do some crafting soon.....
