WOYWW...Ice creams!
Hello Girls...It's the Summer Holidays!!!!
I survived the Year 6 leavers Disco and secondary school open evening. Done the school uniform shop and I even bought the new shoes!
Now it's time to get back to the crafting! Now here's a question for you...Do you have your scraps in different stages? I have large off cuts from A4 sheets in a drawer but keep the little bits and bobs in a carrier bag. See photo above.
I have thought about throwing it out many times but then always manage to squeeze a few more die cuts out of it.
So I spent yesterday with my tag-a-long and some sizzlets dies cutting some cupcakes and ice creams, using up some scraps from my bag.
Here are some of the finished cards...
This is a special order for a friend.....
I have just spent half an hour uploading photos...my laptop had to be set back to factory settings as it wouldn't let me log on and I ended up loosing all my photos...luckily I still had about 1000 in my camera but now instead of them being in seperate files they are all in one....best not to get started...I also have to press " to get @ and vice versa?????
I need 6 weeks off!!! Hope you are all having fun! Come back soon.....xxxx
You have been busy! Well done you on getting your school uniform shopping done....I have that joy to come Saturday :-( Boooo!!!

Gorgeous cards Sally! I can feel for you with the problems on your PC, a couple of weeks ago mine wouldn't log on and it wouldn't even let me go back to factory settings so it had to go into a man to sort - luckily he saved everything except for my emails and contacts, now we have an external hard drive so if anything happens again, its all safe and I won't go into stress mode! Hugs, Claire x
ReplyDeleteThose cards are fabulous and well done you on being so organised on the uniform front ... when mine were at that stage ... it was always a last minute rush ... usually a couple of days before the new term started!
ReplyDeleteLovely bright cards :-) Why throw them away when you're using them - I keep my smaller pieces in a box but very rarely use them. I tend occasionally to lift the lid halfway and peek or rummage through the top half :-/

I keep my scraps in a variety of plastic wallets but what a great idea to have a concerted effort to use some of them up with the die cutting!
ReplyDeleteThose cards are so beautiful!

The " and @ is because it is stuck on American settings. You have to go into the languages doodad and change it to British ;) Oh yes have lost count of how many times I've had to format this dinosaur :)
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about the loss of photos though :(
Love the cards, hope your computer behaves in future. I did that with the " and @ on mine at work the other day! (not sure how, either but there you go)
ReplyDeleteHow organised using up all your scraps for die cutting. Great cards too, very impressive. Have a good evening, Tracy Evans x

Oh the factory settings have re-set your keyboard to american..can't remember where, but you can alter this setting! Your cards are fab. Have to confess that I don't keep scraps that small anymore, I'd me surfing a multicoloured tidal wave of papers! Gorgeous cards, such fun colours, and all the better for coming out of scrap. Brilliant. Enjoy your freedom!
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards, I love the texture on them.
ReplyDeleteMy scraps are in a file box, separated into colours. The scraps of background paper are all together in a drawer. Since colour coding my scraps I have used more of them!
