Baby Jesus...
Hello dear bloggers and followers....
Just a quick few lines to say..Hope you all had a fabulous time over the last few days with family and friends....
I had a lovely time with my family and my brother at my sister's house. We all ate and drank far too much. Home now to the putting away and the washing.
The card I am showing you today is a a traditionally inspired childrens card from an issue of 'Beautiful Cards' a few years ago.
I'm really looking forward now to the New Year and some 'Spring cleaning!
I love having a clear out and getting all my new bits and bobs out....First stop the bathrooms to get all my new bubble baths and perfumes out on display, then the wardrobe...must have a clear out in there!
Happy New Year!

A modern Christmas card....
Hello again...
Apologies for being off line for so long...
I did end up being a bit under the weather after my girls passed on their germs.
Since I was last on...
I have set up stalls and sold some cards at 2 more Christmas Fairs..
Had my school Christmas Do...A Christmas Carvery.
Been to the Pantomime at Butlins with the entire school plus 5 other local schools...it was very loud!
Bought and wrapped 27 little Victorian party bags for my class.
Had a baby shower/lunch for a teacher who is leaving...will show the card I made next time!
My card today is the one I made for my sister..apologies for how blue it looks...
I took the photo at 7.45am.
My sister told me she had bought some new baubles in these colours so I hope she likes this card to match...
Quite simple to make with a circle punch...
Cupcake Crafts have a non traditional Christmas card challenge which I think this would be good for.
So last day at school tomorrow and then I can concentrate on some shopping and last minute things next week.
Thank you Jacky and Kathy for your lovely cards...I have all my hand made ones together...yours will be in the post this weekend.
Off to post and catch up with a few of your blogs now....
Bye for now...

A Mad cardmaking weekend!
Good morning all...
I have another day at home as both my girls are poorly and in bed coughing and sneezing...I have been up and down the stairs quite a few times delivering Calpol, drinks and on the last run my little one asked for some cucumber?
So I have a few spare sit down minutes to show you my mad christmas card making that started on Saturday morning and went on into the evening last night...
I know I should have been a bit more prepared but hey I did it all in one go!
I got out my very old original red sizzix machine and the christmas tree diecut and got to work with some christmas paper stash in green. Then I cut and layered up.
I added glitter glue over the joins and some mini buttons for baubles. Next I mounted all the trees on dark green card and cut out.
Next I cut some blue rectangles and mounted them onto ATC Kraft cards and added ripped white paper for snow...layered again onto red and green and a wavy border cut with Fiskars edging scissors. That was all on Saturday!
So Sunday was all about mounting using various background papers and card blank sizes and colours...also used some red gingham ribbon.
I'm proud to say most of the stash used is quite a few years old and the new things are the cream scallop card blanks and the colourful hexagonal patterned paper.
I ended up with 21 cards now made and ready to send...There are another 7 made in another style which I will show tomorrow....
Some challenges...
1. Design Dollies...layers upon layers...You need at least 5!
2. Dutch Dare...Christmas card, tag or Ornament.
3. The Secret Crafter...Christmas
4. One Stitch at a time...Old Stash/New Stash.
5. Sugar sweet Paper Treats... Anything goes
6. Cardmakin mamas...Anything goes.
7. Top Tip Tuesday...Anything goes.
and here's my tip...make your toppers all in one go... production line, doing each stage then you can make each card a bit more original using different background papers and no one will know you have made 20 of the same topper...unless you blog it of course.
8. Artful Inkables...Punches/Die Cuts
So I'm on lunch duty now...chicken soup all round!
Hope you pop back again soon...xxx

I've been soooo busy....
Hello guys...
A late post this evening as I have had a marathon making day....
I saw the idea for these tree trims on 'Glitter me silly' blog and got to work punching scallops and circles and rooting through my christmas box using up those little stickers and embellishments that have been hanging about for a few years.
They have Elizabeth Shaw chocolate mints sandwiched inside...
I have about 40 made so far but I am going to make some more to put on my tree and to take to my sister's for her tree. I found out her colours this year which are pink, lime green, turquoise and purple. I think they would be popular for the teachers at school as well and may give them out instead of doing cards...
I have also made 21 christmas tree toppers, which will be mounted tomorrow and 7 cards today! Will show you those later....and finally my snowy view yesterday...
I couldn't believe the difference when I woke up this morning....It's all gone now!
Hope you have kept safe and warm!
Thanks for stopping by and pop back soon..

A day off...My time to craft!
Brrrr...Hello there!
Well I thought the South East was going to miss the snow but it finally caught up with the rest of the country and we have been well and truly snowed on last night!
Which means...school is closed, the christmas decs have gone up and I have mopped the floor a few times with the girls going in and out!
But some crafting is under way...I just fell in love with this stamp when I saw it on a blog...It's from Crafty Individuals.
I am getting into the Vintage look and am especially lovin Kraft card being in fashion again. So simply stamped and edges browned with chalks...
A punched flower and wooden button...some olive ribbon and some floral paper...The sentiment on the bottom is just perfect for inviting a friend over.
It's also perfect for My time to Craft challenge this week which is 'Vintage'...
So another day off tommorrow which brings us just nicely into the weekend and fingers crossed to get a few projects done.
Some snow photos probably later...have fun making those snowmen!
Pop back again soon...x
