In the Pink....

Hello there girls...
Hope you are all having a great weekend so far! In between some housework and washing I have manged to make some Easter cards.
I was out last night selling my cards at a Mothers Day event that was organised by a local nursery school....and although I sold a few Mothers Day cards, the most popular cards of the night were my little boys ones...dinosaurs, pirates and builders.

Todays card is made with a Wild Rose Studio stamp and background papers.

I made the flower with a punch and added some die cut swirls...

Finished with some fabric butterflies...

I'm entering this card for;
1. One Stop craft Challenge...'Optimistically Pink'.
2. Allsorts Challenge...'Mothers Day'

Off to Berkshire tomorrow to visit my Dad...Catch up with you all soon ♥

Susie's Sassy Challenge #9

Hello ladies....
It's time for Susie's Sassy Challenge again and this time it is a colour challenge....Aqua and Lilac chosen by Lisa.
We were sent some beautiful 'Prairie Fairie' digistamps to use from Roberta.

I saw these cute birds in a nest and thought it would be great as an Easter card.
I used my Promarkers to graduate the colour and piled on the glitter!

I layered up a few lilac flowers and finished it off with a button and some twine...
Check out all the other DT cards on the blog and have a go!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges...
1. Susie's Die Cut dreams...'Easter'
2. Flutterby Wednesday...Danni has an open theme this week..You just need a fairy or butterfly on your card.

Thanks for visiting...More cards and chat later ♥

QVC.. and a re-discovered kit!

Well hellooooo...
So...Yesterday was Craft day on QVC, so I settled down with my NVQ folder by my side (to stop my hands reaching for the phone).
I had already given myself a good talking to about the piles of unused craft stash that I already had...In a moment of weakness I actually went downstairs and got a large scrapbooking kit that I bought last year. I had made a few cards with it when I first got it but it has remained mostly untouched since. I started to go through it and before I knew it...I had made seven cards, one example being shown.

It is a Brenda Pinnick kit in a beautiful box that came with a scrapbook album and a vast range of chipboard flowers, frames stickers, ribbons and papers.

I added some new glitter brads but apart from base card and glue everything was from the kit! I will show you the rest of the cards in the next few posts.

I am entering this card into the following Challenges;

1.Cupcake Craft Challenge....'Friends'
2.Raise the Bar....'No Stamping'
3.My Time to craft....'In the Frame'

So some old stash re-discovered, I remained very good...even with that gorgeous smoothie Tim Holz begging me to buy. My only weakness ended up being The Patchwork Pals kit with the Train driver in it.... and I did want the white paper flowers but they sold out before I could get to the phone...
So What did you buy? Let me know....come visit me soon ♥

So I am entering this card into the following challenges....

1. Papertake Weekly... 'Check this out'...use Checks/Ginghams.
2. Cute card Thurday... 'Metal Mania'...Flower Brad
3. Cute daisy May...'Flower power'..Brad, paper and the image all have flowers on them.

Pink lady....

Hey there ladies...
I do hope you all had a fabulous Valentines Day yesterday...
Part One of our evening didn't go as planned as 'Sherlock Holmes' was SOLD OUT!
So we ended up seeing 'The Wolfman'...... which was Rubbish! Think bad Hammer House of horror from the 80's! Squirty blood and a man in a wolf mask...
However the Chinese meal afterwards was lovely!
So, my card today is for all you Pink ladies out there...I used to be one but I am pulling away from baby pink as a wardrobe colour choice now...(must be getting old)
However I love using it in my cardmaking....

The gorgeous stamp and papers are from Wild Rose Studios...

I couldn't add any flowers as I have run out..but the next best thing was this pink ribbon and jewel brad.

This card can qualify for:
1. Alphabet Challenge..'P' is for Pink
2. The Pink Elephant Challenge...use Ribbon.

My girls are both happy to be back home from their sleepovers...(I am too!)
So I am catching up with all their news....
Have a super evening...♥

Hearts and Flowers~Card#2

Evening all....
Yay...It's half term...I am sooo looking forward to some lie-ins and cardmaking time. Any excuse for slobbing and blogging!
This is the second card that I made for the Hearts and Flowers theme for 'Susie's Sassy Challenge'. The image was from Jolande again(see previous post for link).

Boomer in a Vase...isn't he adorable.
I have been colouring in the last few evenings...my Pastel blue and Meadow green Promarkers both ran out...but have been replaced via Joanna Sheen.com. along with some new glitter glue!!!

I'm still using my Wild Rose Studio stamps and papers...This is the 'hot pink' papers...I printed off the Index sheet so I had some squares of every design.
I'm looking forward to 'LOST' tonight...even though I am totally lost watching it...Does anybody know what is going on in that programme?????

Susie's Sassy Challenge #8...hearts and flowers!

Hello all...
My card today is a DT card for Susie's Sassy Challenge where the theme is 'Hearts and Flowers'...just in time for Valentines day.
We have been sponsored this time by Jolande at Cards etc shop

This cute doggie holding a heart is just one of a couple of designs that we were given to work with. I decided to use pink and added a jewel brad with ribbon and glitter to my heart.
The papers are from the Wild Rose Studio Spring CD which I just love!

I have been in school again all day today and now I have to take the girls to swimming classes....arghhhhh!
I might get to sit down and have some tea once they are in bed at 8pm.
I'm off to get changed now into 'something more comfortable'... for sitting by the side of a hot swimming pool.
I am looking forward to the weekend as girls are at sleepovers on Sunday night and hubby and I are going to pictures to see 'Sherlock Holmes' and then out for a Chinese! Next week will be good as it is Half term. Yey...
Come back soon for more cards and chat from me. Bye for now!

Aww...Cute puppy stamp!

Hello guys...the first of my new Wild Rose Studio cards.
I told you they were cute...
Now I don't have any pets....(One husband and 2 children is enough for me)....but as I live near the seaside and in fairly rural countyside most of my friends have dogs!
We had a 'Lassie' Collie when I was a little girl who was the most wonderful dog in the world...so I think I can say that this is going to be a very popular stamp.

Such a joy to colour in! The papers are available now in colour co-ordinated packs and there are brads to match.

I added a green button with some twine. The sentiment is also from a WRS stamp set which has cute little paw prints on...
More cute stuff tomorrow as it's a new DT card for Susie's Sassy Challenge!
See you then....

Flower picker Tilda....

Hello peeps!
I have had a full on cardmaking day playing with Wild Rose Studio's new range of stamps and papers...gorgeous ladies and cute dogs and sheep! There are even some co-ordinating brads!!
I didn't get them photographed today but fingers crossed for tomorrow morning.
So how about a Tilda card...

Coloured with promarkers...I chalked the edges to give a soft look!

Susie sent me the image and the die cut scallop mount in a DT pack! I added the butterflies just coz I love little insect extras!
Have you all seen the Magnolia mag?...how cute are those Pirates?
I feel a shop coming on! I would have loved to have gone to Brighton but I was out selling on Saturday and then hubby was at work all day Sunday...one daughter had a friend for a sleepover and another had gone out for a sleepover...it just gets too complicated! Don't forget to come back and check out some of my Wild Rose Studio cards...see you later!

Selling cards in the Priory...

Hello!
It feels like ages since my last blog...It is getting difficult during the latter part of the week as I am in school wrapping up the last few weeks of my NVQ...
I have a few assignments to finish and another observation this month!
Back to cardmaking and here is a quick moving home card I was asked to do. It had to have a horse on it! I went back to my Sizzix machine for some inspiration....

Another reason for being busy...'The Crafty Chicks' were asked if they would like to sell their wares at a craft sale in Boxgrove Priory, so yesterday we set up and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of this gorgeous place...

This is Fiona standing in front of my cards. You can see her gorgeous bunting on the table behind her.

There was even a Morris dancing display! The priory has been closed for a while having some restoration and one of the improvements is under floor heating!
It was lovely and warm inside and beautifully lit!

We all had a nice afternoon chatting to customers and I was asked if I would be interested in stocking the Village store/Post office with my cards...
I will be phoning and making an appointment to go and see about that very soon.

I also received a lovely DT parcel from Wild Rose Studios so look out for some cards made with some new stamps and papers here very soon.
I am off to do some cardmaking now!! Have a lovely weekend!

Colourful Cat with bouquet...

Hi there...
Hope you are all well... just a quick post this evening.
I am off to a friends house for a Partylite candle evening in about half an hour. I love scented candles and do go through quite a lot of them in the evenings! One box of tealights only lasts a few days...

My card today is using my favourite Wild Rose Studio stamp!

This image just about says anything you could want it to say....
I have used it for Get well cards, Birthdays, Mothers day, Thank you's or just left blank....I love it!

It's a bit of a colourful one Thanks to the Doodlebug papers which are so pretty! One has flowers on and the other has little paw prints. Aaww...so cute.
So I had to layer up some primas flowers to match.

Just phoned one of my oldest friends who is 45 today to wish her a 'Happy Birthday'...She is in on her own tonight as hubby and youngest daughter are in the local pantomime and eldest daughter is babysitting! She has a bubbblebath and a good book waiting for her while she eats a box of fudge. It all sounds lovely!
I have a few more years to wait till I get an evening like that! I am still chasing my 6 year old around trying to get her to bed before 9pm!
Must away now...have a good evening, whatever you are planning!

...pop back soon for more cards and chat!

Spring Blossom kitty..

Hi there all...
What a morning!!! I have had my first hour long session in the dentist's chair being drilled to what felt like Australia!!! You may remember I have had pain in an upper molar so now I have to have a Root Canal...
So first part done..all 3 canals found, drilled out and cleaned with bleach...I won't go on...it does sound like a horror film especially when my dentist kept showing me on the screen!! Part two in 2 weeks time....
So, how about a lovely fluffy pink spring card instead.....

Ah, that's better. Kitty in a tree stamp by Wild Rose Studio. I am entering this card into the following Challenges....
1. Cupcake Craft Challenge
..'four legged and furry'! Cute!
2. Pink Elephant challenge...'All about pink'.
3. Pile it On Challenge...'Enough of Winter Colours'.
4.Creative Inspirations...Feminine
5. Artful inkables...'Think Spring'.
6.Quixotic challenge...'Flutter by'..incorporate a butterfly on your project. I used a little charm.
7.Your next stamp challenge...'Anything that sparkles'...my little flowers do!

I am lovin' this pink and black colour combo...I printed off the papers from The Wild Rose Studio Spring CD and this is just one of the sections...I cut up the sheet that contains a square of each of the designs and used this for a patchwork background....
My lovely daughter has just made me a cup of tea so I am off to have a rest now....
Take it easy...and come back and visit me again...Byeeee!
