The Bridge and the Crocodile were made from old cardboard boxes!
It's been 'Art day' at school today so I have been helping with handprints and sewing! Lovely!!

Beautiful butterflies...
Good afternoon to you all...
I have been spring cleaning today...first the garden and then little ones bedroom.
The second one wasn't planned. She was ill yesterday and didn't go to school, then 3am this morning ...a little voice woke me up.."Mummy, I've been sick!"
So there has been a full onslaught of washing, cleaning and tidying. She is fine now!
My card today is a Penny Black hedgie having fun with the butterflies!
The background paper is by Dovecraft and is from a designer pack called 'Wild Blossom'. This also has butterflies on it.
I layered up lots of flowers with a brad and added some leaves and ribbon for extra detail!
I'm linking this card to the following challenges:
1. Penny Black Saturday Challenge...'Butterflies and Bees'
2. Charisma cardz...'Spring has sprung'
3. Flutterby Wednesday...Open challenge but you must have a Butterfly or Fairy.
4. Quirky Crafts...'Flowers'
I'm out tonight at a school fundraising 'Quiz and Chips' night with a Disco!
Should be fun... Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great Saturday Night!

I also wanted to do cards in this theme suitable for men and ladies.
So ..ladies first...spots and ginghams and soft pastel pinks, lilacs and blues!
Aprons, watering cans, lavender plants in terracotta pots.
And now for the MEN!
I used the same layout but using lots of shades of Green!
and I added in some worms and snails!
So many suitable challenges out there... I'm linking in to these...

Downside is...No Teaching Assisitants positions currently available at the school I have been training in.
I am back in on Monday for ART day and for the Easter Egg Raffle on Wednesday!
I am taking in some yummy cakes for the Teachers then!
I am off to have a cuppa now and put on my new DVD... Twilight..NEW MOON! (squealing in delight).

How about a man's card for a change!
Afternoon all...
As the title suggests...I have a man's card to show you today! This golfer is taken from a lovely set of stamps designed by Clare Curd...
There is also a handyman with a Toolbox and a Fisherman...
I'm never sure how to make men's cards interesting so I thought that once I had the topper made and layered I would make it like a photo hanging on the wall.
I used a copper heart brad and some twine so it looked as though it was hanging from a picture rail...
The colours were chosen for the Colourcreate Challenge which is 'Mint, Chocolate and Cream' and the My time to Craft Challenge is 'Make it manly'.
I have another night of writing to finish my last NVQ Unit. I have a meeting with the special needs co-ordinator in the morning and in the afternoon my assessor is coming to take my file away to go through and check my work.
I am desperate to stay at home and get some more cardmaking done and I fancy a bit of sewing as well.
Thanks for dropping by...please leave me a little comment on your way out♥

Spring is in the Air...
Hello all...
What a lovely day today...We met up with two other families today for lunch. I lost count of the kids in the end. We started off with 6 adults and 7 kids but there were various ins and outs during the course of the afternoon. 2 boys out to football and one girl in from down the road, then 2 more adults arrived with 2 more boys. It was a busy house! Lovely to meet up with old neighbours.
I spent all of Saturday writing my last few assignments for my NVQ...I so want to finish this now! Another Spring card to show you....Yellows and Greens this time!
Penny Black Hedgehog Stickeroos on a chalked meadow scene...
I bought these new cream flowers which go with everything...I'm surprised how much I like them. I used some lovely yellow spotty paper on the base of my card.
Thin yellow ribbon tied to a greeting finishes it all off.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges...
1. Allsorts...'Spring is in the air'
2. Crafty Creations...'Spots and Dots'
3. Rosie-D's...Colour combo of Green, Yellow and White'
4. The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge...'Spring has sprung'
Hope you have all had a nice weekend!

The early bird....
Yep...That's me this morning!
Up at 6.30am today...showered and dressed by 7am and on the computer to say 'Hi' to you. My assessor gave me lots to do for finalising bits and bobs..'Mopping up' as she calls it! Lots of reflective analysis now and setting myself targets for the future....!
It's DT day for me at school and I am in with the big kids in year 5/6,(For anyone not in the know...That's 11 year olds)
I am showing you today another card made with Penny Black Stickeroos. I am making more of these as the post office lady liked them and took a lot from my stock!
I couldn't resist this red and white spotty paper as the background.
I can't remember where I got these flowers but I love the red and green tinges on them. I am very low on flowers now and was looking at a very cheap 99p fabric spray in Wilkinsons not long ago...you know these silk flower type things....
Terrible dust traps if you have them in your house but I thought of pulling them all apart for the petals...Anyone else do this?
Ok, Time Check! It's 7.20 am... I am off to turn on Chris Evans on Radio 2 and prance around the kitchen doing breakfast and embarrasssing my daughters with some singing and dancing...we love it when he plays 'Candyman'.
Have a great day!

I'm dotty about cupcakes!
Good morning all...
It's very nice and sunny here today! My new phone has just arrived...Hubby persuaded me to order a Genio Slide yesterday. I usually take ages to decide about these things..(coz I'm not really bothered) but I did quite like the look of the sideways panel and internet access but as long as I can text I'm happy.
So my last day of proper intensive cardmaking for the week and I used up some more cupcakes and ice creams. The last lot I made sold very quickley!
I used squares instead of circles to layer them on and kept to lovely pastel colours and spotty and gingham papers.
I added little seed beads for sprinkles.
I am entering this card for these challenges.
1. Creative Card Crew...'Going Dotty'
2. One Stop Craft...'Spots and Dots'
I have my assessor coming to see me tomorrow to go through the last few points in my 'Health and safety' unit. I have to tell her about emergency procedures & fire drills and discuss the procedures for children leaving the school premises.
Only a month to go and then I am done!
Thanks for dropping by...More cards to show you later!

A Beautiful Bouquet...
....did not get delivered to me today but I got a huge box of Milk Tray delivered to my bedside this morning along with a mug of tea, one shop bought Tatty Teddy card,(Do I not teach them anything!!!) and lots of kisses.
Hubby is at work now and girls are busy around and about the livingroom. Little one with Polly Pocket Disco van and eldest with MTV!
So I am having some happy crafting time...A sheet of Penny Black stickeroos and I am occupied for the day...
I used blending chalks to create a patch of grass and a blue sky...place my chosen sticker on and then layer up to make a topper.
Some Spring coloured card and edging scissors later and all I need is some paper flowers with a glitter brad and a sentiment tag with some ribbon tied in a bow.
I'm entering my card into the following challenges:
1. Penny Black Saturday Challenge...'Spring Colours'
2. Cupcake Craft challenge...'Flower Power'
3. Stampin B's...'Spring or Easter'
4. By the cute and girly...'Spring is in the air'
5. Rosie D's...'Think Spring'
6. Crafty Calendar challenge...'Flower Power'
7. Pile It On...'Pastel Colours'
Hope you are all having a great 'Mothers Day' whether lunching out and about or being waited on at home!
I'm going to rustle up something nice for tea in a bit.
Thanks for visiting my blog and pop back soon for more cards and chat....♥

Butterfly garden....
Hello all...
Remember the spring toppers from my very busy desk from Wednesday?
Well, here is one of the cards from that session in all it's finished glory!
I did a couple of different colour variations but they all had on a Sizzix butterfly, watering can and flower.
My new buttons came out...I just love the little stitched effect edge on these orange ones.
I am entering this card into the following challenges...
1. Quirky Challenge....'Buttons'
2. Charisma Cardz....'Beautiful Butterflies'
3. Flutterby Wednesday....'Open theme' as long as you use a Butterfly or Fairy.
4. Papercutz Challenge....'Anything goes'
Today has been a 'taking stock' kind of affair. So many gaps to fill in my card baskets. So I have lots of cards on my table to photograph so I can show you this coming week.
I've had a very busy 'crafting' week at school making props for the year 3/4 production of 'Peace Child'. It's amazing what you can make with cardboard, paper towels and PVA glue. I will show you some of these as well once they are finished!
If the singing in the hall is anything to go by, it will be a great show!
Then of course we have had Mothers day cards to make and had a Daffodil sale!
Hubby went off to Football this morning mumbling something about an extra trip to Tesco and a Box of Milk tray!
Hope you are all having a great weekend so far!
More chat and cards later.

DT card..Susie's Sassy Challenge..Easter
Good Afternoon...Craft fans!
It's Susie's Sassy Challenge time and the theme is ...EASTER!
I know I have been busy making my Easter cards and I even sold 3 today at school.
We have had 400 pots of daffodils delivered to school today for our Mothers Day sale tomorrow...a drop of good weather and sunshine would start the weekend off well!
My little Easter Bunny is a Wild Rose Studio stamp. Stamped, cut out and placed in front of a white picket fence. The scallop circle is also a WRS stamp. Gingham blue background and some paper flowers...
I printed the greeting on the computer...and there you go a typical Easter scene.
Look out for more of these cute little bunnies hopping around my blog...I know that
last year I was selling them as fast as I could make them.
Back with more cards and chat tomorrow...I hope...Bye for now ♥

Where does the time go?
Hi all...
I can't believe that it is Monday again already.
I kicked off the weekend with a Candleparty on Friday evening...lots of friends over drinking wine and eating nibbles...and buying candles!
I got to bed at midnight!
Saturday morning we were up and out early as I had to get my eldest daughter to Chichester by 9am as she was singing with the school choir for the Music Festival.
I have to say our school choir is amazing and they once again lifted the trophy winning First place. It got pretty noisy with the cheering and applause.
I'm a bit behind with blogging although I have lots of cards to show you!
This 'Summer standing Tilda' card has been waiting to make an appearance. I have used Wild Rose Studio paper...the index squares again. She is coloured with Promarkers.
I used a punch for the flowers with brads for the centres.
My card stock needs filling up as I sold 30 cards today to a local Post Office/Village store. The lady saw my cards when I did a stall at the Priory.
Fingers crossed that they do well as it could be a regular order...
Will let you know how it goes!
Thanks for visiting...more cards and chat soon...

Floral Fancies....
Hiya all...
How's your week so far?...I'm pretty pooped!
Last few weeks of my NVQ at school now and lots of little bits to finish off!
I thought I would show you my stash of cards that were made during my evening watching QVC Craft day...you may remember I got out a previously purchased kit and set to work to use some of it up!
This was one of my favourites....chocolate brown and this lovely bright blue!
The flowers are nice and big and the centres are chipboard...which looks really nice and chunky on your cards!
I was very low on floral cards so I needed to make some up in a set like this!
I will be watching my year 6 daughter narrating her class assembly tomorrow morning at 9am followed by a mad dash to the next village for Market morning 10.30-12 midday and hopefully selling some cards...then back to school in the afternoon and then I am hosting a candle party at my house at 7pm...It's all go!
Have a good one... come back soon!
