Made in an hour...
Hi there...a bit of a late post today.
Another busy week ahead and I just can't see any time ahead for cardmaking. yesterday was the school summer fair and I forgot my camera so no pictures for you...I spent quite a while face painting and helping set up stalls.
This evening I had to rustle up a quick 'Get Well Soon' card.
DCWV card flowers, all layered up together. A little trick from the Magnolia Ink magazine...add some water and distress the edges!
Some glitter and a brad centre...
and here are the challenges...
Crazy Challenges are asking us to 'Make a card in an hour' and this certainly was a quick make!
Alys Sunday Challenge...'Flower power'
Magical Crafts Challenge...'Flowers'
I hope to be back again in a few days...
Hope you are enjoying the weather..

Georgie's first birthday!
Hi!
Today is the first afternoon that I have been in this week so I have been watching some Wimbledon and I just have time to post up a card before the girls get home from school. It is a special order for someone...A first Birthday for Georgie.
I used Boo bear Die and had him holding a ballooon....
The background paper has little cupcakes on it and I put a tiny pink gem where the cherry on the top is...
There isn't much crafting going on at the mo...I am just finishing my second week at my new job, now working every morning til 12.30pm and Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon I have been welcoming new reception parents with Tea and Cake as part of my parent committee duties. Sunday afternoon is the School Summer fair, which this year is in the grounds of a local Hilton hotel. They have told us the football will be on in the bar!
Just about to watch the continuation of the fantastic Manut/Isner tennis match.
How fit are they???? Incredible stamina!!
Thanks for popping by! Bye for now....

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday?
Afternoon All...Hope it is sunny where you are!
I have had a lovely morning with year 3/4 of my new school, walking to one of the local churches and learning about the sort of things that go on inside a church. Tescos shop on the way home and now I can show you What's on my workdesk!
I have started making some little Christmas Robins. The body is card and the red tummy is a button with the shank removed.
Also on my desk are some grey and pink off cuts from a corporate job and a card that I made for my friend who owns the small recruitment business. She sends out a Congrats on the new job card when she places someone in a position.
and now some photos of my garden. A before shot...
During...and
After...
And now it looks like this...
We have blue lights in the decking which look fabulous at night.
Having decking all along the bottom instead of an edged circle has made the space so much more useable...We have removed lots of bushes and plan to take out another circle and lay turf instead. Looking forward to the summer holidays now.
Off to have some tea now and catch up with my family...Thanks for coming to visit!
Bye...

She's an orange lady....
Good evening to you....
What a great weekend of gardening and BBQ's. Our decking is down and I promise that once we have tidied up I will show you my new and improved garden.
But for now ...another WRS lady.
I don't often use orange tones but I like it mixed with peaches and this DCWV paper is gorgeous.
I love these beautiful silk flowers and especially the colours of this mix.
I am entering this into the Simon says stamp challenge which is a recipe.
1 image, 2 designer papers, and 3 embellishments (I have used Ribbon, Flowers and jewells.
I started my new teaching assistants job this morning and I'm shadowing another TA this week. It's a very different school from our village school but I am looking forward to the challenge.
I have treated myself to a pedicure tomorrow afternoon and on Wednesday there is a school trip to the church so I will be staying to eat with the children.
I'm off now to change and get little one in bed with a story then have a relaxing evening looking through some magazines while footie is on.
Hope to see you back here soon. Bye..Z bye!

Spot some more ladybugs!
Hi all...I have been trying to post this all day! I am having a problem with the photos posting sideways...
This fairy digi kit has been on my desk waiting to be made up and I actually made 2 cards. There may be a mix of photos from the two cards as they are very similar. I can't quite remember where I downloaded it from... something 'cottage'...I will have to get back to you. If you have it, let me know.
It's pretty cute though isn't it?
It came with the image and the spotty background paper. I added lemon icicles glitter on her wings and around the edges of her toadstool.
I just had to use this gorgeous yellow button as the centre of a daisy punch.
The finishing touch...some ladybugs....and red organza ribbon tied at the side.
Now the challenges....
Crafty calendar...'Bugs and Beasties'
Alphabet Challenge..'F is for Flowers'
Frosted Designs...'Buttons'
For Fun Challenges...'Happy Birthday'
Digi doodle...'Tie it Up'
Now, I thought I was doing quite well with the challenges until I saw that one of the DT on the 'Pile it on' Blog had done a card which fitted into 42 Challenges!!
I don't think I could face all the linking up.
Off to catch up with Big Brother...more chat soon....bye for now

Lets here it for the boy...
Afternoon all...
A quick post this afternoon...
These teen boy cards have been finished now after sitting on my desk since last week. They were just waiting for the buttons to be put on....
The digi image was a free download from a lady called Kerry Steptoe who is no longer blogging. It's so difficult to find card ideas for teenagers and this 'bookworm' image was one of two, the other image is of a boy with headphones on. I just love them.
I am showing two different colorways...
And here are the challenges I entered....
One stitch at a time...'Boys to men'
Stamp Something...'Digi Day'
Digi Doodle shops best...'Buttons'
Our decking wood has arrived today and hubby has nearly finished preparing the ground. I can't wait for it to be done...the garden looks such a mess
Thanks for dropping by...Bye for now!

I love Promarkers recipe...
Good morning all....hope you are enjoying the sunny few days.
Here is another card with this cheeky kitten playing with the washing. Stamp and papers are all from Wild Rose Studio.
Coloured with promarkers and I used my Martha Stewart punch just on the edges of the mount.
and the challenges....
I love promarkers ...'A recipe, 2 papers, 3 buttons ,1 ribbon.
Pixie dust studio..'Punch It Out'
I managed a couple of cardmaking days this week before I had to help in the garden.
We are breaking up edging circles so we can put decking across the bottom.
The girls have had some playdates and sleepovers as per usual and that involves driving them here there and everywhere. Took my 12 year old to see 'Streetdance' which was really good.
Before I go I just want to say a big 'Thank you' to those of you who identified the wasps nest from my picture. The bush and nest have been removed and destroyed.
I have been taking some photos of the garden at each stage and I will post up a before and after. Catch you later!

Pink and Green in the garden.
Afternoon to you all...hope you have been enjoying the weather.
Some gardening photos further down the post but first a card. A Wild Rose studio stamp and background paper. I have used a lovely colour combo of 'pink and green' as advised by The Creative Card Crews challenge.
I love the softness of the colours. A very feminine card I think! Just a touch of glitter on her dress.
I got these cheapy silk flowers off ebay and pulled them apart, taking out the plastic centre. They look so much better with buttons in the middle....
Now onto the gardening.....
While we were trimming an orange blossom bush my daughter spied this under a branch...
Now I'm not an expert but this crysallis/cocoon was hanging on a bit precariously. We were all were a bit concerned as it's bottom had come off and we could see the creepy crawlies inside...caterpillars in little cells. Fascinating!
The gardening stopped for a while in that area...Do you think they will be alright?
Our garden is going through a transformation. We are having some decking laid very soon.
Carrying on from yesterdays post and the toilet roll painting...lots of you wanted to know how it turned out...well there was more painting today. Yellow stripes were put on and we now have a rather lovely purple base on it. The finished article tomorrow.
Have a good evening if you are BBQ...ing.
See you back here soon!

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday?
Hello there and Happy Birthday to WOYWW!. Julia started this a year ago and how we all love loooking around everyones desk and spying on their unfinished projects and their work space. Well done for such a brilliant idea Julia!
My desk today...It's got a little bit more on it than the last few weeks as I have had a couple of full days production going on...and I had friends visit yesterday and we did lunch and some craft shopping.
Some buttons being sorted into colour , ready to be put away/used?
Some boy teen cards in the making....
and how about this little cutie, hard at work at her desk ie: garden table.
She is painting a cardboard toilet roll.
So there you have a little peek at what's going on at my house today....
I must get back to work and do some more cards...pop back tomorrow if you want to see the finished articles!
Bye for now....
