Happy Mothers day!

Hi all...
Just wanted to pop on here and share another
Mothers day card and hope that all the mums around the world have enjoyed a little bit of pampering today...

I started the day quite early with a cup of tea and a tin of chocolates from my daughters, then we set off to watch my eight year old sing in the school choir at a special Mothers day service in our local Church.
The children sang beautifully and then handed out posies of flowers...

Yesterday our school choir competed in the Chichester Music festival and won the Primary School Choir category...
They really are excellent!

The rest of my day consisted of a little bit of crafting and then out for some food in Smith 'N' Western...Ribs and Chicken...Yummy!

Relaxing now with some TV before bed and then another busy week...
Thanks for popping by..

A flower for Mum...

Good Afternoon everyone....
I'm back with a Mothers Day card...
and I've kept it along the CAS lines....

White space with a single stem...I used all my daisy punches in various sizes, layered up with a pearl centre.

I couldn't resist buying these felt leaves from The Works...

Irridescent butterfly and K&Co alphabet tiles are great for finishing touches...
I also had to add lots of glitter!

Some challenges...
CraftyCatz...Mothers Day
Papertake Weekly...Mum/one for the Girls
Allsorts...Say it with flowers

Hope you have all had a good week...
It's nearly the weekend...so I'm really hoping that I can do some crafting.
It's been a couple of weeks since I had a good session in my craft room.
Wild Rose Studio have got lots of new stamps and papers, including Bella, who is a baby elephant. I am waiting for my DT parcel to arrive...so I can make some cards to show you...and look out for Paula Holifield, a very talented cardmaker who is the newest WRS DT member...
Thanks for popping by....

Lent Artwork for school....

Hi all...
Just sorting out some cards to show but first I thought I would show what I have been doing at school.
Lent display with some artwork....
                                       Jesus goes into the desert....

The devil speaks to Jesus...
In our assembly, Father Andrew depicts the Devil as a woman with green eyes....
 and so begins the temptations.
Jesus is cold, alone and hungry....
Jesus proves his worth and the Devil gives up....the angels come to take care of him and Jesus travels again...

Our lenten path is filling up with footprints and I will photograph the whole display to show just before Easter...
Hope you like my drawings....
Back with some Mothers day and Easter cards soon...

I used this great Football boy stamp from Wild Rose Studio...
The black dot paper is from DCWV.

Coloured in with Promarkers...

I'm never sure what to do with embellishments on mens cards...
I had another stamp set with some accessories on it so used the backpack, ball and cone as a little bit of added interest along a strip of green card.

Some challenges...

Less is More...Don't scrap it!

Happy Sunday Morning..
Hope yours is Easy...so far mine is.
Although I do have a few dilemmas with my cardmaking today...
I'm a very organised kind of gal...and a bit of a perfectionist and sometimes crafting pushes the limits...
My craft room for example starts off nice and tidy and then turns chaotic and messy quite quickly.

It becomes the dumping ground for all the things that the family don't know what to do with..sports bags, shopping bags and this week...an old tv turned up on my sofa from DD2 bedroom, so it's now on my desk cos it still works and I can't just get rid of it!

This now follows into my cardmaking...as I am trying to have more CAS style but also love using up all my stash!
The Less is More challenge this week is to use your SCRAPS!

How many bags, boxes of those do we all have?
I have quite a few and I must say I do love using them...
So from out of some of this lot I decided to start on an Easter/Spring card...

and it turned out quite pretty....

I used 2 flower punches and an egg punch and cut slithers of green card for stems.

I even used a scrap that had little bird/chicks on and cut them out...(not so simple...bit fiddley)

So it did start out as Less is more...but I had to stop myself as I could have added more....
I do hope the Lovely Limettes think this still qualifies!

Allsorts Challenge Blog have an Anything Goes...so that maybe the real mantra for the crafting day....

CAS Boo with flower...

Good Evening all...
A CAS card this evening...No stamping or background papers, no layers or ribbon! No jewels or glitter!

Two challenges this week that asked for a CAS card...

Less is More...and their CAS challenge theme was to use Die Cuts/Punches...
My Boo Bear is a die and my flower is a Punch.

and Lets Craft and Create...Who have chosen CAS as their theme this week.

I wanted a simple sentiment to fit any occassion so I used my Night and Day Alphabet Sizzlets....
and I just had to add a button on to my flower...
It's nearly Friday and the weekend again!!!
Have a good one...
back soon!

The WRS range of products also includes all these lovely background papers
and sentiment stamps!
The Organza ribbon is recycled from the blanks cards and envelope pack.

Good Evening all...

I'm sorry to say that I can't remember where this digi came from but it is so cute and I really enjoyed colouring in all these little bears having a lovely party.

Coloured with Promarkers.

I added a couple of die cut balloons tied with some twine along the side with a my Happy Birthday sentiment.

I highlighted some areas with glitter, the pressie dots, cake icing and hats and the bears noses.

Boys Rock!

Good Morning all...
I'm up early today...not sure why but by 6am I just was wide awake.
So I have been up doing some colouring and now I'm going to tidy up the garden a bit and plant some sweet pea seeds.
But first a card to share for the Creative Card Crew challenge of Masculine.

Using my Sizzix Sizzlets...lots of boy things!
Computers, Football, Rockets and just to boost his ego...Boys Rock!

This was made for my friends son Jacob...also my little daughters bestie!

Hope you are having a good week...as always when it's a week off work...goes by in a flash and I'm not sure whether I have made the most of it but I hate rushing around so time spent on the sofa reading should count as re-charging the batteries...
Please agree with me so I don't feel so guilty.   :)
Must get on now!
Back soon...xxxxx

Bring on the cake...

Hello there...
I'm having a nice week off...been to visit family and had a day shopping and a day relaxing at home. My eldest daughter cleaned her room while my youngest went to multi sports club at the sports centre...so I got to watch a couple of films and read my kindle...and do some blog hopping!

My time to craft have a great theme this week...Bring on the cake!
This should be my mantra...

This is a Sizzix die lent to me by a friend... Once I had cut and dresssed up the die pieces it was just a case of jazzing it up with glitter and beads...which brings me onto the next challenge
ABC...J is for Jazz it up!

I have a few more of these up my sleeve which I will show another day...
Hope you like...leave me a comment and I will come visit you.

Flower Power...

Good evening all...
I've had a lovely day today... started with breakfast with my friend in the Village Cafe, then home to make chocolate brownies with eldest daughter...Hubby called off his football match after a pitch inspection so he was at home.
Did some cleaning and moving around of a few bits and bobs in the hallway, so created some more space and I do love a nice clean up...
then had a colleague from school pop in for a cuppa and a chat before she went off on the train to Brighton for dinner.
Then I cooked a nice Spag Bol and had a tall glass of cold fresh and fruity Rose sat down with my family.

So now here's a card for you...
Back to using my original sizzix dies...I love using my dog one to make these cute dalmations...
The flowers are a punch and I added button centres and glitter.

Fence die with some hand cut grass and a touch of doodling...

My dalmation has a lovely shiny dew drop nose...

Just a little shiny butterfly to finish...

Some challenges...
Let's craft and create...Flower Power
Alphabet Challenge...A is for Animal Antics

Hope you are having a nice weekend...I'm looking forward to a week off spending time with my girlies.
Catch up with you soon...
