Fluttering Friday!

Hi there ladies....
It's Friday....The butterflies are still hovering around! I'm loving doing these cards!
A busy background paper so just added the quote and one big butterfly.

Just a few little ones dotted around as the quote is about friends!
There's not much else to say... I have a couple more cards to show and then I'll move on to something else.

Just been to B&Q to buy a new patio set as it's 15% off today.
Off to check out some challenges to give me some more inspiration. Got a few surprise outings for the girls this weekend so there maybe some photos next week.
Have a great Friday afternoon!!
Bye....♥

WOYWW...a confused table?

Good afternoon...
It's Wednesday again...and before you take another sneeky peek at my desk, here is my card today. Another clean and simple buterfly card, which is exactly the theme at Danni's Flutter By Wednesday Challenge.

Denise over at Stamping Vacation has a 'Name that Card' Challenge and has given a quote for inspiration..
" A beautiful bloom reminds me of how our friendship has blossomed."
Now as I wrote in yesterdays post I was really wanting to do some nice cards for the older ladies at my Village market and in particular a lovely group of ladies who all meet to buy their veggies and then have tea and cake together. I say to my friends.." That's us when we are 80. "

More of these double winged butterflies with a bit of bling....

And the handmade Roses as shown in Magnolia ink magazine.

Now, WOYWW?
Do you think my workdesk/dining table is confused...

This lot were on it last week eating and drinking...

Then it was all clean and clear again....ahh how lovely!

Now it's back as a craft room and work desk...

Here is what's on it today...More butterflies!
I'm really loving this tidy uncluttered diningroom/craft room now..It's making life a lot easier and I enjoy crafting with a clear head! I am finding it a lot more productive!
Let's see what your work desk looks like! Thanks for stopping by....Bye bye for now!

A Handmade Bloom!

Good morning!
I carried on yesterday working on a range of cards that would appeal to older ladies...Floral and sophisticated but not too cutesy!

I die cut some more butterflies and layered them up again adding some clear gems.

Then I had a go at making the beautiful Roses in the Magnolia Ink magazine. They have a step by step tutorial this month and they were really easy to make. I love them!

I used some more Quotes as I think these go really well with the look of the cards, and some classic large floral designer paper from a 12x12 pack.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges...

1. Die Cut Dreams...'Handmade Flowers'
2. Our Creative Corner...'Blossoms'
3. Pollycraft Monday...'make your own Flowers'
4. One Stitch at a time...'Flowers'

I'll show some more of this range in the next post!
I'm off to make some more of these Roses now!
Thanks for stopping by! Please leave a comment on your way out...Bye♥

Inspiration!

Hi ladies...
Well it's back to business after the weekend, more housework, washing, cardmaking, shopping to do. So, I was looking at my cards and decided that I need a more sophisticated range for the older clients at my village market.
I looked at some challenges for some inspiration and came up with this card.
The first challenge was Colour Create and their colour theme of 'Burnt Orange, Black and Cream' is so perfect for a more classy sophisticated card.

Next was Charisma Cardz and their challenge 'Quote me'. I found a sheet of K&Co peel offs in my stash with some beautiful sentiments.

Finally Allsorts Challenge were showing a beautiful butterfly bracelet and asking us to 'Be Inspired'. I used a Sizzix Butterfly and I layered a couple up and added some black sequins and orange beads.
So Thank you Challenges...I was inspired. Show you more tomorrow.
Wishing all of you an inspirational day today!

I ♥ Ladybug Tilda...

Hi all...
It's raining...BOO!! We can stay inside cardmaking...YEY!!
I have used my favourite Tilda stamp...so far!!(although I do love the pirates and Princess collection...They are on my birthday wish list)

Coloured with PM's and I watercoloured the sky background for a more natural effect.
Same paper as my last card as it went so well with the Red Ladybird theme.

The last of these red and green flowers...

I stamped, coloured and then used pva glue to make these mini ladybirds shiny...
Lots of lovely challenges that this card fits into:

1. Just Magnolia...'Anything Goes'
2. Flutter by Wednesday...'Follow the Sketch...and use a Butterfly, Fairy or Angel.'
3. Simon says stamp...'Things with wings'
4. Passion for promarkers...'In the garden'

I'm going to finish some card orders and do some more challenge cards today...
Just also wanted to say 'Happy Birthday' to Jane over at Cupboard under the stairs.
Have a great day!
Thanks for popping by!

In the garden with Tilda...

Afternoon ladies....
Thank you all for the lovely comments on my WOYWW post...I had 40 comments about my dining-room and kitchen!! I post up a card and normally get 10!
I have done even more tidying today..phew...wait til next week to see a further transformation!
So the benefits for me of tidying up was I found some forgotten 12x12 paper and used it for some cards. Tilda with the birds in the garden....

I am lovin' how the colour combo turned out...I usually only use red and green for christmas. I used this sizzix frame for only the second time and added some glitter!

I used up the last of these flowers...can't remember where they came from?

I followed a sketch for this card which I don't often do! So, the challenges...

1. Cute Card Thursday... 'Sketch by Andrea'
2. Just Magnolia...'Anything goes'
3. Our Creative corner...'Butterflies'
4. One Stop craft...'Things with wings'
5. ABC challenge...'S is for Sparkle'
6. Passion for Promarkers...'In the garden'

I'm off to a parents meeting at school now so I'll sign off..Thanks for popping by!
Please leave me some more lovely comments...I really enjoyed getting 40 of them to read! Bye for now....♥

Boo Bear and WOYWW?

Hello to you on another sunny morning...So first of all a card....Boo bear!

This card started off with the button background card which came out of a Patchwork Pals kit...it was the pop out insert of a window card! So I sorted out some buttons to match...

Used a sentiment and some blue gingham ribbon and thought it would be best suited to a baby card.

Die cut a Grey Boo Bear and then layered with handmade paper torn around the edges. Then sewed them altogether! I'm entering this card into the following challenges...

1. Die Cut Dreams...'Tear Something'
2. Allsorts...'In Stitches'
3. The Crafty Pad...'Stitching'

So..It's 'Whats on your Workdesk Wednesday?' time and is my desk still as tidy as last week? Come into my dining room and see....

YES IT IS!!!! Hurray! I have enjoyed the space and put everything away after each card this week.

Re-organised my essentials basket so that lots of things can be taken off the table all in one go which will be happening on Friday as I am having 'The Girls' over for some nibbles to celebrate a birthday in the hols last week!

I really wanted to use the Dining room now that the summer is coming and just in case you thought that we were all sitting eating meals on our laps in front of the TV for the past few years...this is where we have been eating in the kitchen.

It seems that we all love looking around each others houses as I got loads of comments last week! What a nosey lot we are!
Thanks for stopping by and come back and visit soon! Bye♥

Flowers for Nanny...

Good Afternoon...
I'm really cracking on with some card orders this week. I've really felt the benefit of having a tidy up last week and having a clear table. The sun is shining through the window as you can see...What a perfect way to spend the day!
A very simple brief this one...A floral card for Nanny!

I used the distressed flowers with the button centres that you may remember I started last week.

I placed them on top of some Sizzix plant pot die cuts that I decorated with a bow and mini flower brad.

Finishing touch was the word 'Nanny' and some shimmering buterflies.

I'm entering this into the following Challenges...
1. Pile it on...'Spring'
2. Totally papercrafts...'Spring'
3. Our Creative Corner...'Butterflies'
4. Paper Sundaes...'No people'
5. Creative Belli...'Die Cuts Shapes'...Alphabet and plant pot.

Hope you are also enjoying the day!
See you again soon!

A trip down Memory Lane...

Hi All...I hope you are sitting down. I have info overload for you today!
First of all, today's card. Cute Elzybells image which takes up a lot of card space so there's not a lot of room for anything else but as it's probably one for the boys, it's best to keep it simple...Bless 'em!

I used some green and blue washed stripe paper as a background and a zig-zag cut border to the image.

A 'happy birthday' sentiment and some green check ribbon.

Finished off with some matching buttons.

I'm entering this card into these challenges..
1. Creative Card crew...'Happy Birthday card'
2. Polka dot doodles...'Animal magic'
3. Raise the bar...'Movie Mania'..I guess there are various films with Knights in..'A Knights Tale' etc...I quite fancied 'How to train your Dragon' as my little one has just been to see it!

So now onto our day yesterday.....

Train to London Bridge....then underground to North Greenwich to....

The O2..where we saw...

'Dancing On Ice..the Tour!!! Which was fabulous!! Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean are amazing up in the air on the silk scarves. Such a shame you can't take photos officially...just took one at the end as they were waving to go off. Both girls loved Chris Fountain who came on in a sliver suit with sparks flying from his skates, Ray Quinn, very popular with my eldest..Hayley did her Gi-ho routine!

Came outside to lovely sunshine at 4pm and decided to take a water Taxi back to the Embankment tube. No seating left outside so excuse the photos through the windows..
Canary Wharf...

This is Olivers Wharf in Wapping where I lived for 5 years from 1987-1992!

Going under Tower Bridge...

Tower of London is having some work done on it so some of it was wrapped in rather attractive white plastic!

I haven't got the best sea legs but just about managed to stagger outside to take photo of Tower Bridge. It was lovely to see London from the water and to appreciate what great buildings we have...Old and New!
So I am relaxing today...
Hope you got to the end of this post..Sorry it was a bit long...see you again soon!
