Good luck in your new school....

Hello all
Well just when I thought things couldn't get any busier at work...
The dreaded phone call came.
OFSTED!
At least we got it over with before the summer holidays and before all the staff changes happen.

The outcome will be disected next week!
Still on the school theme here is a card made for a leaving teacher...

She leaves to be a Deputy Head at another local school.
I love this Kraft paper...numbers and stars on it, perfect for school themes.
The ruler is actually from a paperchain set from East of India.

Sizzix Owl for Wisdom. Paper pieced together.

I printed the sentiments on the computer...and added some punched stars!

Some challenges...

Paperplay...Use a die
Allsorts...Any die will do
Paper Crafting Journey...Feeling Krafty
Wags'n'Whiskers...Use Kraft
Delightful Sketches..Anything Goes
Crafts and Me...Anything Goes

Thanks for coming to visit me.
Hope you like my card.
I will have a few more of these to show you as we have 3 teachers leaving and one special needs support TA retiring this year.
(I will be taking over her role)
Please leave me comment and I'll come visit you too.

Dad..Happy Fathers Day!

Hi all..
WOW! What a wet week.
Well here on the South Coast we have been knee deep in water.
Bognor Regis has been especially bad.
I gave up trying to get home by car on Monday and ended up leaving my car at the station and getting on a train.
My main route in to work has only just opened again so I have had to go the long way round all week....It's been a nice day today so fingers crossed for a normal trip to work tomorrow and a proper clean up around the town...

It's Fathers day today!
Just a very simple card for my dad...

Kraft card base with just a couple of layers...
The sentiment panel is recycled from one of my daughters birthday cards...
I added a large punched heart and some sizzix die alphabet letters.

Charisma Cardz have a male themed challenge this week...so pop over there with all your dad cards!

Normal Sunday night routine now..tea, baths, ironing school uniforms...
Exciting stuff!

ha ha...Thanks for dropping by!

Little China Girl...

Hello lovely blog addicts...
I have been absent again this week. My excuse is that it's half term and I have both my girls at home and hubby on lates so we have been out and about doing some shopping for holiday and finishing off some DIY jobs.
We even managed a trip to IKEA!
My family were very good and I think they enjoyed themselves even though they wont admit it!

Back to some cardmaking...

This is Mia...one of the very sweet characters at Wild Rose Studio.
All the papers are from WRS as well. This paper pack is brand new and called Vintage Rose.

Mia is coloured with Promarkers. I couldn't resist adding lots of glitter to her parasol.

I found these flowers in my stash which match the colours really well.

Circle stamp sentiments ..also new at WRS.

Some challenges...
I love Promarkers...For a little Girl
Papertake Weekly...Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew...Song inspired
(My little China Girl by David Bowie)

I've spent today making bookmarks for my class to attach to their end of term gifts.
Will show you when I've finished.

We're off to a Live music night at the village rec area tonight to raise money for the new Community Hall. There is a special ceremony to cut out the first 'Sod' and a leading Queen Tribute Band called 'Flash'...the lead singer looks the spit of Freddie

Thanks for popping by...

Rule Britannia....

Hello all...
Here in Great Britain we are feeling very patriotic and this is showing in our cardmaking...
In my little corner of West Sussex, the local school has had a fabulous Jubilee Fair and at the school where I work we had a whole day of celebrations...
making crowns, bunting and having our own street party.

This is a new stamp from Wild Rose Studio...little Bella with balloons and I have used it a few times but I just had to use the Red, White and Blue colour scheme.

Coloured in with Promarkers and shaded with pencils.

I added some heart die cuts from a new Kanban kit and an oval greeting. I layered these on with foam pads for extra dimension.

The Blue gingham and Red spot paper is also Wild Rose Studio and I added a red organza bow and some red ric rac.
My favourite thing at the moment is bunting so I had to have a little bit of this above the balloons.

Some challenges...
Delightful Sketches...Red, White and Blue
Craft Your Days Away...Red ,White and Blue
Creative Card Crew...Dimension
My Mums Craft Shop...Red, White and Blue

If you are in the UK...enjoy your day whatever you do.
We will be watching the London Celebrations on the TV and then having a bit of a do with the neighbours.
Thje bunting is up and the BBQ's are being primed.
Fingers crossed for a dry sunny day.
