The Wedding car....

Hello!
What a mixed bag of weather for a week off!
I've spent most of the time at home trying to get the garden ready for summer.
More of that later....
Here's a card I made especially for those couples getting married soon.

As usual, I used all my lovely Wild Rose Studio DT stash
Floral frame
Small butterfly
Wedding card stamp
Icing on the cake paper pack

I coloured with Promarkers and used some blending pencils to add some shade.
Lots of glitter and pearls...
and some glossy accents to make that car really shiny!

Organza blue ribbon and some white ribbon with silver hearts...and a lace doilly underneath for some texture.

Some challenges...
Simon says Wednesday challenge... Anything Goes

I love Promarkers...Flowers
(Bouquet, edge of frame and on the paper)

The Shabby tearoom...Lets go for a ride
(has to include something with wheels, pink flowers and background texture)

Now to show you the next stage of our garden makeover....
A Lazy lawn...

It has made such a difference and given the garden a new fresh warm feel to it.
It really feels like another room.
We still have a new table and chairs to put out and I'm also making new seat cushions for a bench.
Next step is sealing the patio and re-staining the decking area.
getting some night lights and a few plants in pots!

Thanks for coming to visit my blog...I hope you like my work.
Please leave a comment before you go!

Tinkerbell's pixie dust...

Hello again!

Hope everyone is well!
I'm back again to share a recent card order that I was asked to make for a 30th Birthday.
I was given the choice of Tinkerbell or VW Vans...
Well...I'm not really into doing car cards...
but I love Disney.....
so Tinkerbell it was...

Any excuse to get out the glitter really!

I coloured in a Tinkerbell colouring page image with Promarkers and added a little bit of grass with some flowers.
Sizzix numbers die cuts and my new
Wild Rose Studio little Butterfly die which I just knew would easily become my favourite die ever!!!!

Lots  and lots of magical pixie dust added!

I layered up and custom made the card and envelope to fit the image!
Finishing touch was some white heart ribbon threaded through the side.

One very happy cardmaker, customer and hopefully the Birthday girl will like it too!

Some challenges...

I'll be back again with some of the large Butterflies soon...
Thanks for coming to see me!

Icing on the cake...

Hello!
Happy, sunny Sunday to you all!
What a marvellous weekend.
I so love the month of May...
It was my birthday last weekend so lots of celebrations beginnning on Friday night with Spanish tapas ladies night, then Saturday in Brighton, shopping and lunching with my sister and my daughters and then Sunday lunch out with hubby and my girls!
Summer gardening has begun,  getting everything ready for the BBQs and Tea parties...

So today I'm showing you something that all the Wild Rose Studio DT are very excited about!
Summer release paperpack called Icing on the Cake
 and new dies....
which are Butterflies and Poppies...
All from Wild Rose Studio

So here's my first card and I've used the small butterfly die and this gorgeous cake and doilly paper!

I used some glitter card for the butterfly and mixed and matched blue and pink so I could used the contrasting centre...then added mini pearls.

Coloured a stamped cupcake and sentiment then glittered and added more pearls!
Added a small lace doilly behind the sentiment panel to match the paper.

Here's a peek of all the papers together!

Just so delicious!
Just a couple of challenges...

If you want to see more gorgeous cards from the other DT ladies...click on the Wild Rose Studio link and you can connect to the Inspirational blog.
Kate has used the Poppy die, and Victoria has been playing with the large butterflies!
Their personal blogs are also on my side bar!

I'm afraid the lovely weather has kept me outside gardening this morning but I'm sure I will venture in later!
My new cosy corner unit looks rather inviting!

Patio was jet washed last night...

My new Butterfly stakes...I have a pink one too!

Thanks for popping by! Please come back soon.
Lots more things to share!

Fireworks in Paris...

Hello all....
It's the month of May and another Bank Holiday.
I can almost smell Summer!

I'm sharing a card made using one of my favourite stamps of the new releases from Wild Rose Studio.
Fireworks in Paris
So romantic!
This was featured in Aprils Papercraft Essentials magazine.

My first layer of colouring was Promarkers but I also used chalks around the edges and pencils gradually building up the shadows.
I don't normally colour in this dark and with black but I think it really adds to the dusky evening scene.

I love adding glitter and sparkle to the Fireworks!

No love card would be complete without some lace and pearls, flowers and ribbon.

I'm entering the I love Promarkers challenge of
NOT QUITE STRAIGHT
which of course in my case refers to my image placement!
 and
ANYTHING GOES WITH RIBBON

Fingers crossed for some sun this weekend!

Thanks for stopping by. Please leave me comment if you like my card!

Papercraft Essentials Cover girl!

Hello!
Happy Saturday all...
Can't believe I've already had one week off work.
It's been a strange one as I've had only one daughter to look after and she's a home girl so I've had a couple of afternoons crafting while she's been busy with friends.
We've also had a sleepover with relatives, watched a lamb being born at the farm and been to the pictures to see Rio 2.

I was very excited when I went to Tesco to pick up this months Papercraft Essentials.
I had been asked by Dulcie at Wild Rose Studio if I would like to make some cards for the mag way back in February and was delighted when I found it on the shelf to see that I had made the front cover with
 this Elsie card...

Here's my photo of it...
Elsie and Roses stamp...Coloured with Promarkers and then pencils...
Floral/Gingham papers, Rose Die and sentiment stamp also WRS.

Martha Stewart Doilly punch used here to add the frilly edges.

Lace doilly and some lovely floral and stripe papers.

Twine tie...
